Axe is innaccurate as shit, you can't swing it too fast or the blade misaligns, and if you try to do a solid riposte there a 50/50 chance the axe fucks your arms up, its part of its learning curve as a weapon

It takes a bit of practice. But the single most most most important thing is to keep composed.

We naturally want to do ohshit ohshit movements that are fast. But you want to do really subtle adjustments and lean into the auto parry mechanic.

You want to try to to put your sword between you and the other guy, not smack it out of the way.

Vs. polearms is different, those you do wanna smack out the way lol
