Uninstall the Half Sword demo via Steam
Right click on Half Sword Demo in you steam library Manage>Uninstall

IMPORTANT

Press WIN+R then type %localappdata% hit Enter
Now Navigate to and Delete the HalfswordUE5 folder.

Finally, reinstall Half Sword Demo.

Please note Appdata is a hidden folder by default and you need to enable show hidden items in the file explorer.

Does anybody know of a way in free mode to keep using a Willie which you've used up until closing the game? For me, it saves the Willie and he appears on my main menu when I switch to free mode, but if I start playing I get sent into the beggar tier as the Willie only to lose if after returning to the main menu and if I click on any of the tiers I lose the Willie.

Yes, you’ll need to turn off blood through the in game settings. You may get away with turning the slider down. You can read more in the most recent #updates post. You don’t need to touch the gore setting, Thats separate from blood and also affects ease of dismemberment

My recommendation for the first boss is the big knife in the middle of the ring. Hold it in thrusting mode back to your side, dodge his attacks and run forward while stabbing, you'll take his guts
