Yesterday I was doing an abyss run for fun and I had both of my hands lopped off and a critically injured left foot. All I could do to survive was kick and pray I didn't fall over. (The run did not last long at that point) There was no weapon grabbing for me anymore 💔

We're talking the difference between cutting wood and flesh.
Wood splitting axes tend to be around 8 pounds
An entire two handed dane axe weighed on average half of that

By contrast a bearded axe weighed betwen 3-5
A knightly battle axe with all the fixings somewhere between 5-8

So a wood cutting hatchet tends to weigh the same as a two handed axe and its wielded in one hand, thus its slower

I think the way the hatchet vs the knightly axe handles differently in this game does a really good job of representing that mechanically. I especially love how much smoother the two handed battle axe handles to the woodsman axe in this game, even though woodsman axe is one of my all time faves so far

Stabbing Advice 🔪

When stabbing with alt (with swords), pull your weapon in closer to your body as opposed to extending your elbow out. It's much more accurate and stable.

Alternatively If it's a two handed weapon it is recommended to hold right click first, then drag your mouse to aim the weapon. Then from there double click and hold left mouse (you can try alt a little as well but clicking is more stable)
This is a much more stable and accurate stabbing pose, and a proper halfsword thrusting stance.

To practice your aiming, there's two different ways you can keep your FOV.
Third Person- with Low FOV, so you get a closer view.
or alternatively;
First Person- with High FOV, so you get a wide view of your weapon and it's positioning.

It's not 100% user error if a vast majority of the negative reviews come from it. If it was some, yes, stupid people, but it's not just some.
I found it rather easy to find, but I'm pretty perceptive.
They also didn't have a very obvious way to pick tiers, and really still don't. The names aren't there, it's just portraits. They should be flashing as they are now because that's how interface design works. You have to make it obvious. What might be obvious to veterans and devs will not always be obvious to new users.

Frankly, I'm not getting into it with you. I don't think you're aware of the business practices of selling a game vs making a game. Sure, a nice design looks good and could make you in specific more happy, but they have to appeal to the majority, it's how selling a product works. No one wants to deliberately lower their user base just because they want to main menu to look a certain way. The more people make it past the menu and into the actual meat of the game, the better.

It's like those yellow markers in video games to tell you where to go. No one really likes them that much, and me and you might complain about them, but you can't lie and say it doesn't help you find where to go. We might be complaining about not knowing where to go without it.

Video games are a product made to make money. That's the bottom line. Yes there can be passion, but passion cannot be used as fuel without funds to fuel real life.

and they're simply more conservative with their attacks and thus do not run out of stamina as often.
But they definitely still do run out of it if they swing as much as you do.
