It's not even that, but precise control on where any weapon goes feels impossible with it set to normal. Personally I find strafing way easier without any simply because my weapon can actually goes where I want it to.

Polearms are far better for Knight in general. The longsword is good, but it is just outshined by polearms. A pole hammer at higher tiers is devastating once you get your range down and can land a swing to the noggin semi-consistently.

You can one shot-knock-out other knights with the pole hammer and its perfect for getting into gaps. It's literally a knight killing weapon.

Yeah, when holding longer polehammers my Willie wants to fall if I hold it a certain way, like he'll lean a dangerous amount.

You can get back up while being hit and aren't just paralyzed on the floor anymore though, so that's definitely an improvement.

I've been having a ton more luck fucking flinging people with them though. If I miss my swing stab at their neck, I can usually just hook my pole arm around them and throw them behind me if I'm running.

After trying it out, the way you swing weapons is so different now, it feels slower and losing all of your progress is not fun at all, I had made it to peasant then died and lost in the abyss so it sets me back to beggar

Weapon swing is generally fine once you get used to it. It is slower but they also swing better.
No more 1H getting hung up on shields.
Polearms move a little better.
Longswords are stupidly good to wield now.

I looked at the clips and it's less of a fling and more of push with the tip of the polearm after missing a stab.

You're pretty much just redirecting their head into the ground with a bit of bludgeoning damage to help you throw off their balance.

oh damn I was hoping for flying willies. But that's still nice. I'm great at making my opponents crash to the ground in different ways already.

Mainly I just pin their weapon and kick their knees, then shove right as they wobble.
Works so well it gets a little boring after awhile, that's why I was hoping I could start throwing them lol

It does, but those stabs are always something you could do, same with slinging your weapon around. Swings are more fluid though.
