It's fairly common in the demo version unfortunately, but if you're running the playtest, it's likely that it got put on Dx12. It's highly unoptimized for dx12, so it often crashes.
To fix this, go to your steam library, and right click the playtest. Click "properties", and then click "general" by the top.
In the text box here where it says "launch options", type in this: "-dx11" then simply close that window and restart the game. This should hopefully fix the issue.

So. RAM is what makes your computer able to run things. Things take up stuff called memory, which is what RAM uses. VRAM is what graphics cards use to render things. If you don’t have enough VRAM, you can’t run a game.

At the moment adding Gore to the playtest is the priority. But the new gore system is also complex, it adds a lot of new layers, it's not just 'gore', it's actually more linked to human anatomy, veins, organs, etc. The depth here is astounding, but as everything is physics controlled, performance is also a big topic, we must make sure your PCs aren't going to melt down with this level of detail.
