Best weapon is easily the heavily spiked long range weapon in the 4th class above farmer, its heavy enough to break the neck or knock them unconscious. If you get a body shot, usually it will break the arm/leg, and it’ll penetrate deeply enough to be fatal

However, the gap between the cuirass and helmet is only protected by mail and it is possible for that be penned for a throat shot.

I would know because I took that once from a longsword thrust.

And sometimes when you get your flesh cut, the weapon might just go straight through the armor directly connected to it (you can see this helmets or hits to the shoulder going through a breastplate).

The dev tried making one for the playtest and determined with the way the game is right now (newer engine version, some things are encrypted, doesn't work with ue4ss, etc.) it's not possible, but might try again once the next major update is out

i have found grappling is a very good counter for the sword bearhug

and id recommend trying it on the lowest class with both player damage and ai damage to 0

so you can get the hang of grappling
