#Regional pricing unfair

Again the game is worth a certain amount to each person if you don’t think the price is worth it you could always not buy it or wait for a sale
Again with how the game currently runs cheaper/older hardware will have a hard time
If you can afford the end hardware to run the game the 50usd price is not a significant factor. You can easily spend that amount on other forms of entertainment such as going to see a movie or eating out at a restaurant. Again the value of the game is up to your own judgement
i would assume the problem lies within take two and not the dev team

me searching for devs response in the chat via satellites
guys regional pricing update ksp2 now costs 50 rubles!!
They fixed it?
50 rubles is worth almost nothing. That looks like a Google Translate error
esp since it's not sold in Russia
is this now "showing off currency"?
hope dies last
and it had already began to slowly disintegrate into infinite, shapless, unknown reality
maybe we need to ping them?...
Don't you dare
what they gonna do? Ignore us?
Yes they will. But it's against the rules, so doing so will have consequences.
Too many emojis. Dyno automatically deleted it.
Regardless of that, your attitude is not okay. Rules are rules and you'll have to follow them if you want to be on this server.
hope dies last and at last it wont last anymore
honestly hate how they lied to us about regional pricing
and wont even elaborate after giving hope
but "they keep contact with the community!!"
it feels like they do it just for public reputation
when it comes to actual big problems except bugs they dont give a load of
whatever
they could of atleast just said "no shut up"
but they had to ignore us

just because
It's unfortunately been the way of KSP since it started getting big. It's not unique to this issue. Console users are still wondering if they're getting an update or not. People never did get told whether a new demo of KSP1 was coming (it obviously isn't, now that KSP1 development has wound down). There are more examples.
So don't take it personally, it's just a symptom of being a very large community and the company having its focus in many places.
Also:
¯_(ツ)_/¯
(I mean, it kind of does, but also no promises)
Lied? How?
Yeah I read it a bit as "most people who'll help you here aren't employed by the company"
Something new happened?
No

...
I am just disappointed.
Ah. Not sure who said that or when or where, closest I could find was a moderator kinda stating the opposite (#1078683192615243796 message), but yeah I can see a statement as you described would be frustrating
Soon™ is a pretty subjective thing. We don't know in which time scale they thought off when they told us there are updates soon on this matter. And in this game should have interstellar travel (which takes a lot of time and patience) at some point in the future, so the devs seem to work on stuff thinking long term. Just think about when the game got announced and then it got delayed multiple times. If you think in a timescale off 100 years than 5 years are pretty soon imho. Maybe thats the type of "soon" you guys in here get news about this matter.
(and because internet and text stuff, I'm a bit sarcastic above)
Soon is still pretty subjective...
Maybe there will be an answer when the game gets out of early access. Because a game thats planned long term 1 - 2 years isn't that long, right?
maximum full release will take is like 5-7 years at worst and 1-2 years is not just 1% or 10% its a whole 25% (if using 6 years and 1.5 years respectively) of the time it takes to full release when it should of been there on day 1 according to what they said
so yes, 1-2 years just to get any news IS a long time
at the very worst it might take 10 years, and mind you even 1 year is 10%
if they were to do anything about it, on the other hand, im sure it would of maximum taken a month to get atleast SOME response from the upper management
and we were here for way longer than a month.
I mean yeah soon is relative, if they promised that I think they could still be within reason by the time they hit the second or third milestone for the game (early access being the first milestone). Another timeline would be to consider it compared to when they publish updated minimum specs.
Does anyone have a reference for who said "soon" and when? Or is this a case of a rumour getting out of hand?
Which from what I can see is only soon relative to when they have an update on the underlying request
"as soon as possible" does not mean soon
it means exactly what it means
Thanks. So let's kill that rumour here.
Since the sequel doesn't have any sequel worthy content like interstellar or colonies yet, it doesn't need to be soon. t$ke two is a greedy company after all. One day this game will get cheap and/or worthy enough to not require regional pricing
dead thing
Did they add regional pricing?
it's 🛌
dead chat

If there is nothing new to say on the subject, please stop posting in this chat.
You should choose KSP2 /j
But in all seriousness it might actually be fair, the devs end up making more money with regional pricing because more people will be able to buy it in said region, it is unfair but fairily unfair which is a thing I never thought I would say
also, I think this is better for #1078721867956879400 instead of #1074830191769178212
I think (only a supposition) this may be due in order to avoid 3rd party resellers like Instant Gaming to abuse those pricing changes and offer the game for much cheaper to customers who would have to pay the full price.
