Minors are allowed to read their chats. They should have a separate option that says "write off of this chat" and while they look at the chats, they can write their own story/fanfic. Like wattpad but they have like their own reference i guess for the story.

Some people say it means the system verified you as 18+ and you’re in the clear, others say that it’s only there just in case. And there’s even other people saying that it’s for both reasons.

If you’re a minor, it’ll start out as getting a 2 hour time limit to chat with characters. Starting Nov 24th, you will completely lose access to chatting characters, but will be able to “post on chat feed” and “create scenarios.” Basically you get to use every other feature BUT the chatbots.

I’m not a minor, I have all of the features. I was asking about the advanced setting “verify age” and what the true purpose of it was, because nobody is giving a clear answer. I’ve read the update multiple times and still have no context on what the newly added setting means. If it’s just there as an option, or if it means you’re in the clear and don’t have to worry about being flagged, or even both at the same time. These are the things that users are saying, there’s nothing from the devs talking about it. If you have screenshots from the devs discussing the setting tho, that would help a lot
