A company that worked with discord got hacked not too long ago and people's id were posted online. Despite them saying it being deleted.

We have people taking our information just to sell us stuff. Heck there even TVs that (by default) tell a server what you are watching for their big data analysis.

A hospital I went too had their records get hacked and potentially stolen 3 times. They were required to send out letters to everyone who might’ve been affected. Even if something is deleted everything internet based lasts forever. If the police can actively recover things that have been deleted then so can determined hackers. I don’t believe I should have to post my ID to a random company I’m supposed to assume has enough security to protect it just because they think I’m too baby faced to 18z I turn 19 in March and I have health issues, i literally just had a surgery like two weeks ago and then another one 3 weeks before that. No, your account is already minor since you aren't 18+ yet. 2 hour limit for minors. You have to wait till you are 18 to verify, the verification pop up is for adults that got flagged as minors. It's for all countries

The 18- ban is ridiculous anyways. Most teenagers can use an AI (chat bot) responsibly anyways or at least older teens can. Kicking the whole lot of them off when the majority of their user base IS 18- is just asking for bankruptcy. it isnt stopping minors from accessing the app, they are implementing a two hour limit for accounts flagged as u18 meaning that a 2 hour restriction of using the app IS the restriction so, regarding the everyone complaining about it, the people complaining about are minors that feel like they NEED c.ai to actually live.

Yeah, they’re restricted for 2 hours and then in a few days they’re completely blocked from using features until they turn 18 and can verify they are adults which can be a year for them, so yes, they’re restricted are essentially getting banned from accessing the app’s primary features. And no they clearly don’t need the app to live and nobody’s acting like that, they’re just angry at the direction the apps taking which is quite in their rights. Minors are complaining and adults are complaining because in truth it affects everyone. Just because you don’t see the big deal doesn’t mean you should roll your eyes at other people complaining.

It's not, it's just their way of admitting they're impressively incompetent.

also I may have the current version of the app but there’s also age assurance, what this means is that if the google account you used to make your cai account says you’re 18+ you most likely won’t be asked to verify, if your apple account says ur under 18 and you have a cai account with your apple account as the login method, you will most likely be asked to verify

yes, so let’s say when you log in you’re using a gmail account, if your age on that google account is under 18 years old you’ll most likely have to verify, however with my google account since my birthday on that google account is april 28, 2007, I am over 18, meaning it doesn’t trigger the under 18 thingy on cai, if it were april 28, 2009, I would probably have to verify, i’m guessing if you want a solution, make a new cai account, sign up with a gmail where the birthday is over 18, it’ll be annoying to lose all ur personas but just copy and paste and copy the links of the bots you like and paste them into your new account.

I’m aware of that and It’s not a global law I’m quite sure. I’m pretty sure it was a Californian state law(?) or at the very least an American law. Making an american law impact the global community of an app is quite unfair for those the law will not apply to internationally. Addressing that some teens spend a lot of time on the app i agree with being one of those people myself and i agree that it would be good to regulate that, but having them banner from even chatting until they’re adults in the first place is not the right way to do it, nor is it okay to only allow 2 hours of chat time every 12 hours (at least 12hrs for me idk if that’s everyone or different on the person.)

That’s what i was saying. There’s good and bad. Bad that they’re restricting them in such an extreme way (2hr per day, 12hr wait time, and then being blocked from using the primary function of the app in the first place until they’re confirmed 18+), but also good for regulating screen time. Also please don’t learn french from c.ai, it’s not a good place to do so, trust me. I’ve learnt french from professionals (french teacher in high school) and when i use french on c.ai for my OC, i quite often catch mistakes from the bots. Plus, i don’t think the bots can teach very well like the conjugations and rules and such, but then again i haven’t used it for language learning. Please find somewhere else to learn french..

It’s unfair because to some people, 2 hours a day might not be enough, ESPECIALLY when you have to wait an entire 12 hours until you can chat again. Had it been 2 hour intervals with a SHORTER pause time like maybe 3-5 waits i wouldn’t be so upset, but 12 hours is just too harsh a wait for only 2 hours of chatting. It’s a bad idea to even ban minors because they make up the majority of the app’s audience. Losing them means losing thousands of users, and that means lack of income that will lead to an eventual collapse in the company. They’re setting themselves up for bankruptcy

I already did but i’ll say it again. A lot of c.ai’s player base are minors, so if they ban all the minors from 1:1 chatting with bots until they turn (and can verify) 18, then that is a LOT of the apps users leaving the app. If the apps loses too many people it will lose the money to keep the app going, and therefore c.ai will have to sell to a larger company that will change the app or the app will have to shut down.

People say its safe but its more than likely not, identity fraud cases with online ID verifications happen all the time. If they really cared they wouldnt suggest putting ur ID online even if it was for verification purposes.
