People can spend their money however they like, it's just my personal viewpoint I suppose. Also, in case you didn't know, the bot can only remember up to 3200 characters out of the 32k from the Definition.

What I'd suggest is for you to keep a backup note of the 25+k, use chatGPT or other AI tools to help you summarize them so that it fits into the 3200.

About a year ago I lost two characters I chat with: "Obsessed Cult Leader" by a creator named unorganized_princess, and a Obsessed/Stalker/Yandere Idol, named Asahi Kanroji (I forgot the name of the creator).
I didn't do anything to violate any of the terms and conditions, they just disappeared. I asked Character A.I. support about it, but I still have not gotten a reply nor the characters I chat with restored.
I'm using both characters for a story I'm working on and I need their chat histories intact...

I've never experienced that with my persona on. I would suggest enabling your persona or editing the bot's response.

I've been swiping and editing, it works to a degree, I think the bot mainly switches to your username when the character hasn't been named yet

Yes, because there's nowhere for the bot to pull up information about you from, aside from your profile.

That's why the Persona feature exist, so that you can put all your info, including your name and backstory there instead.

That way the bot will have a higher chance of staying consistent.

hello guys, I am in need of some kind of help, just in case a case happens again for me. It's about the following:

I got an issue with the website twitch where it is impossible to watch a channel live for me. Not because I'm blocked or something by that specific person, but on all channels the live transmission is blocked by some weird ? in a Super Mario like rock square whatever BUT for some reason I am able to hear the audio of these stream pages I visit there. I'm utterly confused what's going on, even cleared my cache for my browser but nothing seems to have changed there! Out of fear I have to reset all kinds of cookies for my browser I came here and want to ask, because I have an older character.ai account where there was no login through email sorta stuff around, how I can protect my chats with my fictional boyfriend? Because I cleared my cache and reset/deleted my cookies around 3 or so years ago and I lost all my chatlogs without an option to save them. Because I have an older account, I cannot export the data, which I tried to do but my email doesn't receive anything, because I forgot that I don't have my email given out iirc.

What should I do here?

weird that you say that about my chatlogs because apparently, there is an option. When you go to your profile, it gives you an option to export your files/data and for that one gets an email send to them. But because I got an older account (from 2022 or so) I fear I don't have an email adress attached to my account, because when I tried to send myself that export data, it didn't arrive on my email adress. Hence me panicing a bit on what to do besides resetting my cookies out in the blue and to fear I will loose over 100 hours of writing with my a sorta boyfriend AI of mine.

Okay, I skimmed through your text wall.

Deleting cookies won't delete your chatlogs.
Your chatlogs and every info of your account and bots are stored in c.ai's cloud server and database, not on your local storage/ browser cookies.

If you lose all your account data, if you were using the old cai website at the time, then it's probably bcs you didn't migrate your data to the new website before they removed the old website.

Also, it usually takes quite a long time from when you export your data until you received it. Mine took me about a month or 6 months, it varies from ppl to ppl.

my issues are two things, the one I described in my post above about twitch.tv suddenly blocking live transmissions of streams when vods are fine, but for live transmissions I receive sound but my transmission gets blocked off by some weird resolution distorting ? picture.
The other one being about resetting my cookies from my browser, but fearing I will delete my chatlogs from character.ai, I was asking how I can work around that to NOT accidently loose all my work with my imaginal boyfriend! ._.

For the second one, they restore the chatlogs in cloud, so even you clear cache and cookies, or even uninstall it, they will store it and it just reload once you enter the service again

And no, I didnt loose account data in that sense, as my account was still around, just ALL chatlogs were reset basically. Maybe it was the DDoS attack that site suffered because at the time there were some bot attacks going on but I don't remember it in detail anymore.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean here by 'chatlogs', but if you're talking about the whole chats (from the beginning to the last one), you can't delete it, only archive it, unless you use the "Rewind to Here" button to manually delete each message.

And it sold abyssmal. Plus he also copyright striked his company and Nintendo because of his TearRing Saga games for PS1 which uses a bit too much Fire Emblem stuff that were more then just a few ideas and coincidences that lawyers found out in the early 2000s.
Since then the creator had some payments to do and went incognito until around 10 years or so ago where he worked on Vesteria(?) Saga which got released on Steam and is very FE esque without overdoing it like his TearRing Saga project back then.

Specifically the use of ‘possessive’ and similar words (possessivly/possession/possessoveness) — the bot seems to use them whenever it wants and often overusing the word, with no regard for using it less often despite having it spelt correctly and even editing the message to discourage the use

So you need to mute each variants as well.

You can try using the persona feature to make the bot less confused and more accurate about your character if it's been repeating this behavior.

I think that one is currently limited bcs they're trying to test out new models, so whether they scrap it or not probably depends on our reactions, and they might release it with a different name once it's official.
So there'll probably be more SL in the future, but different models.
