Yeah, no. Cai was crashing/going down a lot, (even for + users), so they implemented the slow mode to prevent it from doing that as often. And have you noticed that character ai hasn’t gone down for a week or so since slow mode became a thing? It works. It’s making everyone able to use the app

That's my general opinion on it, I just think there's something slightly immoral about basically saying "oh sure, you can have this feature but it's gonna suck unless you pay for it to be better".
