I genuinely don't code my bots so I'm not gonna contribute much to the convo LMAO

For single char you really wanna be as clear, concise, and specific and put a LOT to really flesh it out. I use bracketing. Avoid walls of text, break them up to help the bot sort through the info. For group bots, summarize the characters the best you can while still being accurate, the less you can put while still being accurate the better so there's less info for the bot to have to sift through. (Helps it not mix up info between chars)

Usually my group bots admittedly have a focus on one char, so I give them a big profile, and everyone else lil ones.

I usually also put a whole 'setting' bracket section detailing that so the chars can latch onto that, and expand storylines better themselves, as well as a 'dynamics' bracket if chars are already associiated

Maybe you have a word somewhere else in there that's a problem. Try backing up your bot's settings in a file somewhere, and then adding in each part one by one. If you find that the problem lies in the greeting, what you can do is try saving half of your greeting and see if that works. If so, try adding another quarter. If not, remove a quarter. Keep going until you've narrowed down the problem.

Bots who were deleted will normally give you something like "Character unavailable" and be in search for a few more days or even forever as a grace time, even if they're gone, they're in search so people know it's deleted, but those characters are just gone as if they never existed at all

I'm tweakin and would love just some verification if anybody else is experiencing what I'm experiencing since the only bugs I've seen being discussed are about the search. It's been completely unusable for me since yesterday. I can't get any of the bots I use to generate a full reply. It's every character I interact with. I've gone through all 100 replies multiple times and 1-starred them with "ended chat early" and it does absolutely nothing. Also, it seems to really be struggling with memory/making relevant replies (that might be gibberish issue Ben just mentioned), and it got way more sensitive with blocking messages. Am I losing my mind, is there something I can do to fix this? Have other people been experiencing this?

I've been having an issue for like 8 days where bots only generate half a response and stops mid sentence tried everything clearing app cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting recent chats and favorites characters tried on an alt account worked fine for a few days now its generating half a reply made a yahoo account and it seems to be working fine

That has been happening for quite a while. I had the same problem around the end of last year and it lasted for about 1-2 weeks on and off before it got fixed (with the addition that the flllter also got so much stricter).
Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything you can do on your end aside from waiting until they fix it.

Maybe you can use an alt account in the meantime until they fix it. If you're worried about having to start over the chat, there's an extension tool that allows you to export/import chat, so you can try that out.

No, I don't think it's the matter of what account you use, bcs back when I had the same problem, I tried using another google account too and it worked fine, just like what's happening to you.
If you want, you can try linking your discord w/ your c.ai+ account so that you get access to plus members channels.
There's a channel called '#plus-support-and-discussion', and the mods are a bit more active there. If you report your problems there after sending a ticket, they might be able to help push your ticket to the team

I totally get how annoying it is if you're subscribed but can't use the app at all. Been there as well. Feels like you're just wasting your money/ time away.

Reinforce details about your persona subtly through the interaction, and using omniscient narrator instead of first person narrator also helps. Probably because you're using first-person narrator and not referring to your character by the name their persona goes by, so the bot thinks it's a separate character. Try omniscient narrator, but if that doesn't work, you can always just edit out the mistakes the bot makes.
