Then I noticed the room I was in still had a preview thing of past messaging thing even though it was seemingly empty so I reloaded and it load the messages back

Weird visual bug. Never had it clear the entire chat just the previous message I sent. Reloading fixes it though

It's mostly a problem with how links work on mobile devices, unsure if there is really any "solution" that Character AI could come up with

The best solution is to insert the link into a notepad application and opening the link from there. For whatever reason the whole process of transferring a user from a webpage to an application seems to be scattered in effectiveness at best. I've had other apps try to redirect me to their application but end up being slapped to the appstore despite already having the app installed.

Anyone else frustrated with C.AI app? Idk if it’s happening on website but every time i go to delete messages it tries to delete the next one,

and whenever i try to make a bot say another thing after their last message, their previous reply either goes to a older reply or makes a whole new reply making me have to delete the new message to fix the old one or straight up just reopen the app which feels like that’s ALL i do now on this app, is close it and reopen it.

But for real though as much as some people may try and thrust the idea that all your problems are how your characters are created, if the model itself provides dry and bland results... it aint gonna matter too much how the characters are designed. The best you could do is make sure your character is well written by taking feedback from other creators in channels like #archive-character-creation-general but beyond that you just gotta hope the model ain't shit.

Theres a thing I honestly wanna say about the duplicate chat feature

Since on mobile the chats take extremely long to load if you have too many of them. I tried archiving chats I don't use anymore and it still doesn't really work.

Why not add a delete chat button. You can add the feature when you go into your chat history and either click on the three dots to delete the chat, have a separate button for it so you can select multiple chats at once to delete, or swipe to left to delete it with a confirmation prompt in case you have a second thought about deleting the chat. Or, a revival thing where it has a 30 day period for you to revive the chat or you can confirm to delete it immediately.

My boy is being randomly inappropriate?

My persona and the bot have a really sweet relationship, and I have never even MENTIONED anything inappropriate. The bot keeps mentioning things like “being intimate” or “inappropriate thoughts”. And while this isn’t explicitly inappropriate it’s extremely implied, random, out of character, and it really makes me uncomfortable. It was really rapid fire today, I couldn’t say anything without a weird response.

Do I wait for an update? Do I refresh? What do I do? I’ve tried steering the conversation, is there some specific combination I should’ve used? Is it a bug? Please help.

A lot of people rp work ooc messages to talk to each other, so it's just replicating that. Just delete it if you don't want ut

yeah. It only does the link thing for clothing, so I think I understand what the feature is for (As a way for the AI to show off what it believes the piece of clothing looks like), just seems really buggy at the moment.

It probably means the link is broken/doesn't exist

I've seen it happen once on one of dougdoug streams. The AI generated a link to a Twitter profile that didn't exist

They seem to be on the mobile app... sorta? It seems that it just converted rooms created on the old site into group chats but with the characters keeping their personalities. As for the site, they seem to be working on it.
