Yes, I am on Android and I had to place the browser on "computer site", it gave me the options to log in with a Google or Apple account
I put in my email, then it put me back on the same page, I assumed everything was ready and went back to the app, but I just get that an error occurred and I'll try again later

I can’t get into my discord account on character ai anymore because thanks to the new login update and everyone who used discord account either loses their account or their account being deleted without the user consent because everyone spends their time on their account and ended up losing all of their progress and the bots with at least over 1k messages on their account gone and making everyone lose their accounts and forcing everyone to make their new accounts instead of returning them to their original accounts back and everyone doesn’t want to restart or repeat their chats again because everyone have to think about how to respond to the bot and the time it takes for them to repeat the same thing to get the correct conversation and if character ai didn’t delete the discord login and this will never happen again

Mikey do you know when we’re going to hear anything? I think a big part of the problem right now is that we haven’t even been acknowledged by the devs, no one has said, “Hey, we’re sorry this happened and we’re working on a fix.” They did for the 401 issue but it took days for them to even do that much, and it takes like ten seconds to write a post like that.
The lack of communication and updates has been a sticking point for a while. I get it, it takes time to investigate, but it would be nice to know that our problems ARE being addressed.

If it helps you feel any better, and it probably won't, but I can think of a good reason not to have the developers communicate more. Developer time is expensive, and it can take a while to get back into the right frame of mind for development after even a little distraction, so the executives may have decided that it would be best if the developers just didn't communicate with the users. That way, the developers can maximize their focus on the software.

The problem is that they have hired a community manager. It doesn’t even have to be a dev who updates us, but they have hired a community manager and that is her job. I’m not saying she isn’t doing stuff behind the scenes, but it takes ten seconds for someone to just post, “We know about people losing their accounts and are looking for a fix.” It really isn’t that hard.

And while yes, dev time is expensive, what is also expensive is the massive amount of negative PR they have generated over the YEARS that this has been their “strategy.” That erodes trust in the company, it causes negative backlash, negative reviews, decreases revenue, helps competitors… from a business POV, ignoring your users when there are big glaring problems, especially when you have hired someone to communicate with them, is a pretty terrible move.

The email link account deletion bug has been known and widely spread for WEEKS now and that hasn’t been addressed. It isn’t just a matter of having trouble getting into the site, people’s data is being deleted without their consent or prior knowledge, and they are being indirectly tricked by the devs because the devs tell the users to use a method that is GLITCHED.

And it isn’t a situation where people are being banned, it’s a situation where people are simply losing their account for no other reason than a glitch in the system. That’s it. Poor coding.
