I've completely given up on character ai atp. The whole thing is just a complete mess. I think it's best to rp with other AI agents. I suggest using grok, deepseek or gemini since they all do a pretty well job at displaying the character's personality, and they have great memory. Just make sure to tell them to do proper research on the character before starting the rp.

First the ads that progressively got more invasive until they became half of the app experience, the swipe limit despite bad text generation, and now you can’t even use the app for its purpose anymore. Nah, man, I completely get that - when Users have to write essays in Definition or send commands - that's a complete system failure. You have all the right to be upset and vocal about it - the people that are the most vocal are the ones who care the most, after all. The only thing we can do is to wait, unfortunately. I only know that they are working on DeepSqueak 2, fixing PipSqueak 2 and on a new Soft Launch, from what I've heard. Pipsqueak 2 is actually good but only in dark scenarios and gore and apocalypse scenarios

But yes there's less response from other characters.....the pipsqueak 2 just explains the scenario and thoughts throughout roleplay and not replies by their character....which i didnt like.....i need a response so the rp continues

I heard about that. Honestly I feel like that's with any kind of roleplay. A easy fix for that is by forcing the story to continue. It's what I do. If my character been in a scene for to long I literally do a time skip to get out of that situation because it takes to long for the bot to move the story on. And sometimes the bot moves the story on way to fast before you're ready.

That's often why I do time skips. I get overwhelmed fast if nothing changes in the story so I time skip to get the story moved faster. Eventually things will be in a flow state again. It's extremely tedious for no reason, but so worth it afterwards.

We've tried editing the text, the commands, new chats, different Characters, my Characters, logging out and logging back, different language Characters, nothing worked until Laci changed to the old account which used the old chat styles. Happened before my command, just tried fixing it with one

I have removed pins added pins i have removed large chunks of the bots responses. I have talked ooc to the bot. I pin the bots own agreement that it won’t write for my characters. It doesn’t matter what anymore. If i pin something one time it should stick. I shouldn’t have to mess with the bot 100 times for it to respond for itself and not me. 😔
