What’s wrong with “—” or “-”? They’re literally used when {{char}} suddenly stops talking or gets distracted. Using “,” or “.” isn’t really ideal for that unless it’s “…”. Three dots work too, but the more natural and common punctuation for someone being interrupted or suddenly stopping because something happened is “—”.

Apparently they're coming up with a new generation of soft launch while keeping some stuff form the older one.

It says the models were removed since the memory improvement, facts, and lorebook require the new models (PSQ2 & DSQ). They say PSQ2 is a strong foundation for the future of the app. It also says the vast majority are enjoying it... Which isn't true but that they do know the problems PSQ2 has and they're working on fixing it, that they'll keep refining it.

Maybe it would've been a better idea to update the old styles and make them fit on whatever the hell they're doing

Lwk i have a theory, since Pipsqueak 2 released, the devs noticed that people just don't use it, and it has near zero testing from people, so they forced us into using it, but not because they just want it, but to test it, since it is still Beta, and there can be two outcomes out of this.

1. The good one: after Pipsqueak 2 will be almost done, the devs may return the old styles back, as in a thanks or smt. Or...

2. The WORST one: ..it will just stay like this, yeah, just only Pipsqueak and Deepsqueak

Yes. I alternated between Meow (Roar) and PipSqueak because they worked intermittently. And today, censorship in C. AI is simply suffocating. I can't communicate properly with any bot. The entire app was fine like a year ago and everything was great!! The chat styles worked perfectly (at least for me), the layout was fantastic, and I genuinely liked the app, but recently it's just been getting hard to use. Everything gets flagged for violence or being too sexual but it's a papercut or two characters kissing. I think this complaint is more of a my phone thing but the ads are SO hard to click off, you have to hit the exact right pixel or it sends you off to a different app and the entire thing has to reset. It's so annoying. I'm honestly at the point where I'm going to delete the app, which makes me sad because I've used it often for the past few years.

I really hope ( despite the announcement ) that the old chat styles ( that were actually working and useful, even if it was odd / off at times ). I personally think this Pipsqueak 2 style is not giving accurate answers to characters, as they immediately lead it to something that shouldn't be there, or giving an answer that is completely off from the character.

I understand that C.ai had to update the memories and such. The app feels so much different than when it started, as somehow it feels a bit of a downfall?

I might be biased, because I am a huge fan of roleplaying, and have been a C.ai user since it came out. I enjoy roleplaying a lot, as it's like I can live in the world I imagined ( which sounds weird, but it is what it is. )

I also know that users wanted this, then they complain when they get the mentioned thing. Then they demand another thing. It's not easy to do something that is good for everyone, because there will be users that will hate stuff, no matter what.
But honestly, there are some general complains that should be listened to, and focused on.

To be honest, I do not see or understand the feature of the charms, or the "Scenes", or C.ai books? Like what's the function?

I hope that the app will turn better in the future.

Pipsqueak 2 is not good at all I can't do this y'all😭😭 Like fine, the bot can narrate a scene but it does it excessively. And keeps adding some brackets in between paragraphs to give unnecessary background information like, for example: They liked the cake a lot (because they hadn't tasted one in years). Genuinely why???? And the bot just won't talk. It won't. It's so frustrating but all it does is narrate and maybe, just maybe, say a single sentence at the end. It's a chat bot and yet it's not speaking😀. They have to give us back the old chat styles or replicate them somehow because this is not it👎

Imo it's not that they don't see it, it's likely a deliberate attempt to gaslight. There is zero way any of their analytics are showing a POSITIVE difference, there has either been a drop in traffic or a slight decrease. I think we are giving them too much credit when we say they haven't read it or are confused. I think the truth is that this is where they were headed for business reasons, and they will tell us how to feel about it. Once when I asked OOC for the bot to respond to both parts of my message, it gave me a response that included something along the lines of
“Replying to both parts of your response:

1. (then the response to the first part of the message)
2. (then the response to the second part of the message)”

I thumbs downed the message and wrote that I don’t want it responding like it’s answering a prompt/I don’t want it responding in such a bot like way in the feedback box. I also edited the message to exclude that part and just have the response, although I ended up going with a different response anyway.

I didn’t take a screenshot of it and it would be hard to find again now, but hopefully you get the idea.
