Tbh it depends on the bot (as far as i noticed). If you want to get longer responses swipe for new responses till you get this question why are you swiping. Then check "response too short". It always helps me. Remember to mark max stars long responses and 1 star short ones. Bot will learn how to talk in a way you want them to
