hello, can someone explain me how i can setup vesktop only to use proxy? not all my system. i use nixos + kde and in my country discord is banned, so i need to use some proxy to make discord work

I'm new to Vesktop and wanted to ask if there's a "Registered Games" feature like in the official Discord client.
The reason I'm asking is that when I'm in a game for a while, my Discord status changes to "Idle" (or whatever it's called), and I start getting all notifications on my phone which gets really annoying.

i checked to make sure it wasn't an issue with my mic by recording the input on audacity, and the output there is clean while on vesktop its choppy

Thanks for telling me about how the tos violation works, and showing me how its an unenforcable part of their tos. And due to medical necessity I will always be doing the same tos violation. And since it's medical there is no way I will ever be enforced upon for the violation.

Hey is there any fix for the constant rising CPU Usage, the longer you stream for? I'm trying to use Hardware Acceleration, but that doesn't really do anything to fix the issue. vencord doesn't in any way alter streaming on the discord desktop app, so pure vencord won't cause anything like what you're experiencing

In any case

1. Make sure you're on Vesktop latest Vesktop, run /vencord-debug to confirm
2. Try to disable hardware acceleration if you're still affected on the latest version

So here is the thing, I am running vesktop on linux with hyprland. And I have this issue where clicking the middle mouse button pastes in the selected text. Since I enabled auto scroll through a flag, I would like to be able use that, without putting text into my input field every time. hello, i have noticed vesktop has exclusively mono audio for me, ive read older messages here and V said it's supposed to have stereo on screen share, I assumed that was my only problem but after a little doubt i checked and bots also only stream mono for me even though my friend says it is stereo for him. he's on vencord on win11 and im on vesktop on linux. is there anything i can do about this?

Unfortunately, no, at least for me. It will go full bitrate with no one watching the stream but as soon as anyone joins it drops down like 60Kbps at 320x180p resolution.

I've kinda given up at this point as it's actually gotten worse and happens with or without audio streaming. Sounds like nothing Vesktop can really do as it happens on Chromium itself too.

i was able to get the css back by restoring a backup of the old version i took, i see the new version from github has a new data folder that the old one doesnt?

well, i found it by opening the themes folder in the settings of the old vesktop install, was a bit worried id lost all my customcss lol never mind

i just copied the files from the .zip the building processess created and replaced all the files where my desktop shortcut pointed to

that's the portable build, it writes settings to the same folder as the app is in because that's the point of portable apps (you can put them on USB sticks etc)
