The issue started once i didn't update Vencord {Update pop-up was on bottom right) and force closed discord, since then i tried all tutorials and reddit fixes nothing worked.

only a windows reset can make it work now.

I'm not sure if this is vencord or discord but for some reason peoples statuses dont seem to be updating in real time for me
if someone is to start playing a game it will not show up on their account that they are doing so, + i use the platformindicators plugin and that doesnt seem to update in real time either
it will update if i fully shut down and reload discord, but not in real time
im not 100% sure if this is with every user or just some specific users as i have only actively noticed it with one friend

Why do I get logged out after opening DevTools?

Discord tries to protect you from getting scammed by "hiding" your token when you open DevTools, which means it deletes it from storage and only keeps it in memory in order to make it harder to obtain.

If you now close discord before closing DevTools again, your token will not be saved anywhere anymore and as a consequence you will be logged out

Solution: Close DevTools before closing discord or better yet enable the NoDevtoolsWarning plugin which removes this "feature"

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

uhhh het!! not sure if anyone already asked about this but recently vencord entirely stopped showing servers for me and i cant seem to figure out how to fix it, ive tried reinstalling the vencord installer, reinstalling vencord itself (uninstall + install again) and repairing it by the vencord installer option :/

My themes broke and now I can't open settings or disable them

open the dev tools with CTRL + Shift + i (Cmd + Option + i on MacOs) and click on the "console" tab at the top. Then paste and run (with enter) the following code.

It will

• disable custom css (you can turn it back on in Vencord Settings)
• copy your current theme links to your clipboard as a backup
• remove all themes

Hello, is there a feature where it allows me to save a list of enabled plugins I have from one session and just feed it into another session on another device so I won't have to manually go through every single plugin?

Especially since a lot of these plugins have extra settings/customization within them so allowing me to export a list and all would be very nice... If there isn't any, I guess I will make one. (A plugin manager of sorts)

You can only use plugins made specifically for Vencord.

Does anyone know a way of preventing Vencord from uninstalling after a Discord update? (Asking for a friend as running this would be against Discord ToS.)

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

So after testing this for myself, I realised that "FixImageQuality" doesn't respect the user's choice for "Original Images in Chat" (either that or it's just broken for GIF files that are uploaded to Discord instead of embedded). When the plugin is on, it will always treat that setting as being on, even when it's disabled.

Hey! I recently have been having issues, my vencord won't connect to voice channels - it gets stuck on "DTLS Connecting". I've seen other people discuss this before in this chat, so to pre-empt, it dosen't happen on browser, it dosen't happen on my phone's offical discord app, and I don't have tailscale or use a docker to my knowledge? I'm on linux mint 22.1. I've tried fresh re-installing vesktop, restarting my computer, updating everything, ect. Let me know if you have any leads
