Vencord suddenly not working – settings menu completely missing

Hello, I’m having an issue with Vencord and I’m not sure what else to try, so I’m asking for help here.

About ~14 hours ago, Vencord suddenly stopped working.
The Vencord menu is completely missing from Discord settings, and it also doesn’t appear when searching “Vencord” in the settings search bar.

I don’t think I did anything that could have caused this.
Before the issue happened, I was just idling normally in a voice channel.

Things I’ve already tried:
• Downloaded the latest version from the official Vencord website
• Re-patched Discord (patch shows as successful)
• Fully uninstalled Discord
• Cleared all leftover files / registry entries
• Reinstalled Discord and patched again with Vencord (also successful)
• Restarted multiple times

None of these worked. Vencord still does not appear in settings at all.

I’m sorry if I missed something obvious. I’m not sure what the next step should be, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I watched a NTTS video and copied some of the CSS things from it in here, and most of them are working again (though I'm brainrotted and probably forgot what it looked like).
The only noticeable problems are the full timestamp not showing without hovering over it (maybe) and the profile bar stretching all the way to the left (definitely), though I'm assuming both are a wait for a new version or diy problem.

I have a question! I just learned about Vencord 5 minutes minutes, and to be honest, the Vencord project is severely messing up my project! 😄
I'm running a tournament where I've hidden a bunch of channels in the tournament Discord, so they're ready to be un-hidden in due time, when announcements are made. It pertains to certain games being played in the tournament, which is supposed to be a surprise. Naturally I've made the channels unviewable for the users, but a kind person told me that by using Vencord, people are easily able to see all the hidden channels 😧
My question is, how do I make the channels unviewable by those using Vencord?

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

So random issue that poped up today where after i patch my discord it gets stuck "Starting" and just never loads.

Im on Manjaro Linux it was working fine all of today until i restarted my computer while getting Proton-GE installed since ive been trying to troubleshoot a game. A couple days ago i setup thing for discord that prevents it from forcing updates that way when discord gets an update it doesnt break everything since manjaros package manager usually takes a couple hours to a day to register the update. but i deleted everything related to discord and when i reinstalled it and patched it, it still is causing it to break.

Why is my Discord laggy?

The most common cause of lag is poorly written CSS.

To see if this is the case for you, try temporarily disabling all themes and your QuickCSS.

If that indeed fixes the lagging, you'll have to figure out which theme / part of your QuickCSS is causing the lag.Just slowly remove parts of it until it doesn't lag anymore.

open the dev tools with CTRL + Shift + i (Cmd + Option + i on MacOs) and click on the "console" tab at the top. Then paste and run (with enter) the following code.

It will

• disable custom css (you can turn it back on in Vencord Settings)
• copy your current theme links to your clipboard as a backup
• remove all themes

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
