the issue is, some way or another, vencord is interfering with GIFs visibility on the GIF section, maybe some plugin maybe some bug, not sure about it, it used to be fine before but i have started facing this issue now, asked some friends and they faced the issue too and one even left vencord for it, and it was fixed after he disabled it, one of the mods here faces the issue too

The ImageZoom plugin sometimes loads images that are lower quality than the ones unmodded Discord would load, using FixImagesQuality does not solve the problem, the problem can be solved by adding &quality=lossless to the URL or modifying the domain from media.discordapp.net to cdn.discordapp.com, I will show some examples where that happens and where it doesn't using different formats of the same image or where the file is hosted.

If you use the network tab in devtools to check the url where the image hosted on discord is loaded from, you can confirm it isn't downloading the best image, you can open your browser and paste the url and switch between discord domains or adding &quality=lossless to url

the first image is lossless while the second is a lower quality version (jpeg like artifacts when zooming in with ImageZoom)

I just installed it and I'm noticing its created a folder on my harddrive in appdata/roaming for the vencord settings and plugins and themes etc etc. -I'm hoping there's a way to move the "vencord" folder and its contents into the same folder as my actual discord installation, which is on an external harddrive, so that way I can have all my settings and stuff preserved when I launch discord/vencord from that harddrive when its plugged into another computer. I'm not really that techy (yet) so forgive me if this is a radically stupid question and I don't realise it mdr. I'm assuming the solution is gonna be something along the lines of making my own vencord installer or modifying the source code on github for myself or smth, but I'm hoping there's an easier way.

you can change the directory vencord gets installed to by changing the enviroment variable thats indicated in the installer but i dont think its guaranteed to work with that kind of install

youre better off using vesktop portable if youre in this situation

When ever I restart my computer with vencord installed vencord goes away. This only happens when I have discord launched. If I fully quit the app from the system tray vencord will stay installed.
