I have an issue which is obviously not vesktop but discord and I'm wondering if anyone else fought something similar.
I use ProtonVPN and Vesktop on linux opens to a black window which never loads, and it started happening in the last 2 days (working fine previously)
I tried with discord native application and that one remains loading forever in a similar fashion. Out of VPN, everything works fine

Now the interesting thing is that on Firefox via webapp it works correctly, so my guess is that the user agent is getting blocked because of linux + chrome + IP block
Any way to configure a different User Agent on vesktop?

Why do I get logged out after opening DevTools?

Discord tries to protect you from getting scammed by "hiding" your token when you open DevTools, which means it deletes it from storage and only keeps it in memory in order to make it harder to obtain.

If you now close discord before closing DevTools again, your token will not be saved anywhere anymore and as a consequence you will be logged out

Solution: Close DevTools before closing discord or better yet enable the NoDevtoolsWarning plugin which removes this "feature"

Hope it's alright to ask here, maybe my keywords didn't yield good results or I didn't dig deep enough- Either way I seem to be running into an issue where I cannot open my Discord Client, doesn't even hit the patching pop up box, just doesn't open with 1 instance found in Task Manager. I ended the task there and tried to run the repair option for Vencord, it said it was successful- Discord still did not open, only in task manager.

Closed the one instance in task manager again, tried to uninstall Vencord this time- said it failed. So I rebooted my whole PC and uninstalled Vencord via it's client, said it was successful! But then I opened Discord to this:

Should I just reinstall Discord and Vencord fresh at this point? I remember uninstall Discord years ago and it purged all my favourited GIFs and not 100% sure if that's been changed to cloud storage now. Sorry for the long message, just sorta need confirmation on next steps. 😅

Themes and plugins are unrelated, plugins are made and maintained by us, and we can give support for vencord itself (which includes the plugins cuz they are direct part of it) however themes don't belong to us and if they cause issues that's outside of our control, only thing you can do in such a case is to remove/disable the theme and wait for the theme maintainer themselves to fix the issue

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
