Hello i tried to reinstall vencord at first it gave me a javascript fatal error then i reinstalled discord and now whenever i open discord its just a grey box i cant interact with at all ive tried to fully reinstall discord by deleting local app data and app data and uninstalling vencord etc nothing has worked

Hello the latest update is issuing random hanging up during calls !
The issue has happened in a call with both me and the friend are using vencord, for both of us individually at different times (one of us hangs off but they didn't mean to and didn't press anything)
it's related to vencord latest update as uninstalling fixed the issue and the issue happened on very different types of hardwares, the call type is video call with both cameras enabled

Hello, I have been getting this issue where when vencord is installed on my flatpak discord when I boot my computer discord will not open and instead hang on the "Starting..." loading animation. When I uninstall vencord using the script discord opens just fine, but vencord will not function even if I try to reinstall it without restarting my computer. If instead, I boot my computer without vencord being installed and then use the installation script it works fine.

Seems like Discord is still running in the background. Make sure you close it fully. It will most likely be in your tray, but if not you can use your Task Manager to force close it. After that, you should be able to install Vencord properly.

Installing new Vencord breaks discord for me, all group tabs breaks and you can even access them, have to Unistall Vencord to be able to see anything, This happen on latest update, any ways to fix it ?

Why is my Discord laggy?

The most common cause of lag is poorly written CSS.

To see if this is the case for you, try temporarily disabling all themes and your QuickCSS.

If that indeed fixes the lagging, you'll have to figure out which theme / part of your QuickCSS is causing the lag.Just slowly remove parts of it until it doesn't lag anymore.

This plugin was removed for legal reason. It will never come back.

This plugin was always meant as a tool for adults who don't want to give Discord their birthday/ID.

But obviously there's nothing stopping minors from using this which is troublesome legally and possibly could lead to me being legally liable for distributing it.

Bypassing it is also becoming progressively harder with the changes Discord is making to abide with UK and Australia law.

As such, I no longer feel comfortable providing this plugin. If you rely on this plugin (as an adult), find a suitable third party replacement from elsewhere.

hey, this is probably a long shot unless you’ve also had this issue, im unsure whether to ask in the glazewm discord or here so im asking in both, but I use transparency on my discord with glazewm and tackyborders. the only issue is, when my discord is transparent the borders around my discord when unfocused and focused using glazewm and tackyborders don’t seem to work. they just disappear as soon as my discord is transparent and it works perfectly fine without the transparency effect. i have applied the fix, and the problem seems to be gone for now

2. Type sudo
3. Drag VencordInstaller.app into your terminal
4. Append /Contents/MacOS/VencordInstaller
5. The final input should now look something like this. Double check that you have everything correctly, especially the space.

6. Run by hitting Enter and the installer should open. If it says file not found, you made a mistake
7. Installing should now work!

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
