Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Hello ! I was trying to use an emoji with fake nitro and it wasn’t working. I went to my settings and an error message popped up that said Vencord could not find the FormText component; then when I tried to repair it in the installer, it says “Access is Denied.”. My Vencord is up to date and I didn’t touch any settings or anything in my files so is there a way to fix this ?

noticed a little bug recently I thought I should report, with the new discord update it removes vencord. If you go back to the installer and hit the reinstall/update button it doesn't work, freezes, then crashes.
if you uninstall nothing happens, reinstall nothing happens. even uninstalling discord and getting a new setup exe for both discord and vencord doesn't work. this happens both in the stable and PTB versions of the client but as far as I've seen not in the browser extension.
what seems to be the solution that's working for me at least temporarily, is launching discord, hitting the install, launching it again, then hitting reinstall/update, and letting it run without interacting with it for a few minutes until it unfreezes. not sure if this is a common thing since it's never happened to me before and the vencord setup never used to freeze or take more than 2 seconds to install until now but I thought I should make a note of it.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
