I use Vesktop so it's possible there's a conflict caused by that, (it seemingly uses vencord as it's primary mod so idk what it would change) and I'm on Steamdeck (SteamOS).

5. The final input should now look something like this. Double check that you have everything correctly, especially the space.

6. Run by hitting Enter and the installer should open. If it says file not found, you made a mistake

Some Videos don't play / get stuck on first frame / only play audio

This happens because these videos use the hevc encoding. The solution differs based on your platform.

A universal and easy solution is to simply install VLC media player or mpv and open broken videos with that.

Make sure your GPU driver is properly installed and up to date. If it still doesn't work, your GPU is too old and doesn't support hevc.

Your web browser doesn't support hevc. Use a different browser or google your browser name + hevc for help

it's a difficult decision

this change was necessary for security. only allowing a specific list of domains prevents many potential hazards and every popular website does it. Including Discord. In fact, Discord by default already doesn't allow anything. Vencord changes this and until now just allowed everything through but this is bad, so I changed it to only allow a set of known safe domains

I considered making a way for users to manually allow domains but this would just lead to people allowing anything without second thought and if we look at the first guy who complained, he was loading images from multiple questionable sites, which is not something we want to encourage. People should really just be using sites like imgur

This sounds to me like a theme issue, since it has transparency, but the buttons are following a similar transparency setting. Check and make sure the line for transparency is closed and not open and taking off from the next close like.

the most likely thing is that if there is ever a bug in discord or a vencord plugin that leads to arbitrary urls sent in chat being loaded, the whitelist will prevent this from fetching any unsafe websites that could be used to ip log you or do other nasty stuff

there are many more less likely scenarios where it can help

you don't want the app loading untrusted sites, whether it's by accident or someone else trying to exploit it

having a whitelist guarantees that
