I wonder why a specific plugin called something like "declutter" doesn't exist yet considering the amount of "bloat" like various unwanted buttons on chat bar, nitro promotions, help button on top header etc exists and I have seen various CSS snippets to hide/remove them and are used by quite a few amount of people..?

The easiest & fastest solution to most issues is to just reinstalll / repair Vencord using the installer. Don't worry, you won't lose your settings! They'll all be there like nothing happened once you're back

Why is my Discord laggy?

The most common cause of lag is poorly written CSS.

To see if this is the case for you, try temporarily disabling all themes and your QuickCSS.

If that indeed fixes the lagging, you'll have to figure out which theme / part of your QuickCSS is causing the lag.Just slowly remove parts of it until it doesn't lag anymore.

Over the past few weeks my partner has had the desktop platform icon beside their name while they are on mobile only (they do have a computer, but are fully logged out of it and away during these times). open the dev tools with CTRL + Shift + i (Cmd + Option + i on MacOs) and click on the "console" tab at the top. Then paste and run (with enter) the following code.

It will

• disable custom css (you can turn it back on in Vencord Settings)
• copy your current theme links to your clipboard as a backup
• remove all themes

• discord does not like selfbots, comparing to client mods (in which they do not care about)

2. issue 17 you sent.. can be replicated by textreplace yes, but in reality thats all it really needs, it does not need anything more technical as something to "UwUify" your text. Also, its niche and not really useful.

How to update if you can't update via normal means

Sometimes Vencord might break or crash and make it impossible to update via normal means. Here's how to fix it!

Discord Desktop

Use the Repair button in the installer. You will not lose your Vencord or Plugin settings.

Vesktop

Right click the vesktop tray icon > Update Vencord.
If you don't have a tray, you can run the following script in devtools (ctrl + shift + i, then click on the console tab and paste):

Hey, I've ran into an issue today. Been using vencord for a long time without issues but as of today, videos uploaded and posted suddenly take ages to even play one second. This has never happened before. I've checked if it was on my end (connection, packet loss, or provider) but all is working well there. I tried disabling hardware accelaration (as someone suggested it) but nothing. I also repaired and re-installed Vencord. Nothing helps.

Hello hello, ive been using vencord a lot since 1 year and lately im doing a lot of stream to my friends with the fake nitro enabled, but i dont know why theres always a time when my stream bugs and my friends says that the sound is horrible and i have to redo the stream. i didnt see it in the known issues so idk if its only me but anyone ever got that and knows the solution ? i tried reinstalling both discord vencord and my pc :/

Hello I have an issue. I tried to install vencord on my computer but it didn’t work, when I tried to start discord after install it told me what’s in the picture. I tried to uninstall and reinstall discord to see if it would fix it and after around 20 tries it finally opened. But it took like 4 minutes to open and then it would take 1-2 minutes every time I swapped server/channel and I couldn’t even select the message box to type. Computer started getting hot and I turned it off and waited a bit, tried turning on and now it doesn’t turn on. Please someone help me I have no idea what to do

that last part is a problem on your end, certainly not vencord's
When/if you can turn on your computer again, open Terminal.app and run xattr -c /Applications/Discord.app after installing vencord

are you on Sonoma or Sequoia

That should work the only thing that would cause this is you not typing/pasting it correctly
