Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

for some reason as of recent (this has not been an issue prior) with the fake nitro plugin, streaming in any resolution above 720p makes discord use an ABSURD amount of gpu usage. like 90% of my gpu according to task manager. it makes gameplay very laggy.

Your Discord seems to have installed in the wrong place. This could be due to a variety of issues.

the api returns "User Settings failed validation: User unable to change server message request settings",

Things such as Muting, Unmuting, Changing volume of Stream/People doesn't work, Changing Statuses, Online status etc doesn't work

It will work, but revert back after a couple seconds or less as the api request fails

You could also try to turn on GPU acceleration if you don't have it. If you're desperate, you can also disable opus codec (but it will increase your bandwidth usage / decrease audio quality, if I remember correctly)

If you are trying to use cloud integrations in the browser (specifically Firefox), it won't work due to CSP issues as the Vencord extension cannot correctly allow access to the API. There's no fix besides using a different browser or using the desktop clients.

I have problems with Installing my custom build. 3 months ago I started working on my own plugins which I installed with the help of vencord. But since a few days I get this error message in the Plugin settings. When I repair vencord it is fixed. But now when I try to build Discord as described in the docs and install my custom build I get the following error message again. It is also there when I remove all plugins and only install normal vencord. I'm a bit stumped and haven't found or seen anything about it
