Because it's loaded with information. Imagine having a close friend of 5 years, filled with thousands of messages. You get into a fight and block them, but need to access some information you know for a fact is in your DMs.

There is no plugin for this. I've just tried some tricks to open that menu in non community servers, and it didn't work for me (probably due to "Show All Channels" being enabled internally). A plugin is likely possible to make this work. If you're okay with hiding the channels with css, you could use ```css

4. Append /Contents/MacOS/VencordInstaller
5. The final input should now look something like this. Double check that you have everything correctly, especially the space.

6. Run by hitting Enter and the installer should open. If it says file not found, you made a mistake
7. Installing should now work!

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

I fixed a potential build problem while trying to build using pnpm 10.5.0 and NodeJS 23.8.0 and I figure it's way too small for me to request access to the dev channels so I'm posting here

 ERROR  Failed to switch pnpm to v10.4.1. Looks like pnpm CLI is missing at "C:\Users\FlooferLand\AppData\Local\pnpm\.tools\@pnpm+win-x64\10.4.1\bin" or is incorrect

It only appears to happen when using a pnpm version newer or older than the one listed in package.json, and I'm wondering if I should submit a PR since specifying a specific version for pnpm seems to unnecessarily cause this problem

Hi,
a bit unusual situation, i am running Vencord in a WSL2 with X Server forwarding, this way i can keep Discord (on WIndows) and Vencord (on linux in WSL) running at the same time with 2 different accounts.
Everything works fine, but i cannot wrap my head around screenshare, as Vencord cannot see other open X11 windows, hence has no streaming candidates.
I understand this is a very strange setup, but anyone able to suggest anything?

A bit delayed but I've experienced the same thing. As others have reported, seems to only happen when enabling audio on the stream. It happens with any chromium instance, Windows or Linux.

It also happens with older versions of Electron (v27) so it's likely an actual issue with Discord's web client or backend that we can't do anything about.

There was some discussion on it recently in #🖥-vesktop-development .
