don't do that

use settings sync (exports an offline json file you can import in your new client) or cloud sync (syncs to our server so you can just relogin on your new client and it automatically loads them)

if you use both systems you should definitely use cloud sync cause it'll keep them in sync automatically and apply your settings/css whenever you change them

this css snippet allows you to change the discord app icon at the top left, you can go to Settings > Vencord > Edit QuickCSS to put this snippet it.

Well, im here to report a problem about vesktop. My friend told me that he has a problem with latency in voice channels. He tried both of the desktop and web version of Discord and had lower latency than vesktop while he is in a voice channel. He was telling me that my voice is delayed too but i was thinking it was an internet issue or something but now i can diagnose the problem because i have more evidence about this issue. I hope it gets fixed. (I didn't tried the desktop and web version of discord for latency issue myself, i don't care about it too much)

Why is my Discord laggy?

The most common cause of lag is poorly written CSS.

To see if this is the case for you, try temporarily disabling all themes and your QuickCSS.

If that indeed fixes the lagging, you'll have to figure out which theme / part of your QuickCSS is causing the lag.Just slowly remove parts of it until it doesn't lag anymore.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Discord's recent changes seem to have made some CSS very laggy. This includes many themes and part of Vencord itself.

If you are experiencing lag, try disabling all your themes and your QuickCSS. If this fixes it, it means one of those is the culprit. Slowly re-enable one by one until it lags again to find what exactly causes it!

If disabling Themes & CSS doesn't fix it, please go to #1335030867759730790 and run the /vencord-plugins slash command to share your enabled plugins. This will allow us to understand which plugins cause it

The most likely cause is that your install is outdated. Check if there's any updates. You can either do so using our inbuilt updater, or if you cannot get there due to crashes or similar, use the "Update Vencord" in the Installer.

If you're all up to date, try reinstalling with the installer anyway!

Still experiencing lag even after the update that should've fixed it, most notably when enlarging images and other such widgets appear. I have disabled all CSS to my knowledge (Disabled CSS toggle in the Vencord settings tab, all installed themes disabled, removed online themes), disabled ClientTheme, disabled ImageZoom, disabled AlwaysAnimate, and am still experiencing severe lag when doing certain actions. I have even reset vesktop, and the lag is still present.

I am on Vesktop on linux, via flatpak. I have done flatpak update and no update has appeared for Vesktop, so I am up to date. I have also updated Vesktop recently, but this issue persisted before then.

I am not experiencing this lag on my laptop, only my main PC. I have deduced this is because I am running Wayland, as the lag is not present when running Xorg. The lag is also not present when running normal Discord via Firefox when on Wayland.

Here's the theme I'm using and how it looks for me. UI works fine and it's installed properly, but I get no background. When my friend installs it, the background shows up for them just fine. So there must be some setting that is stopping my background images from showing up
