Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

assuming you have the download installer in your downloads, this just opens it, you can just run it manuall and reinstall discord

Hello! I installed Vencord on my laptop recently and have been loving it. However, after a recent hardware upgrade, (added a graphics card essentially,) Vencord now opens with what seems like vicious screen tearing/shearing.

The whole window has been shredded into one-pixel-tall horizontal stripes that look like they should add up to a visually legible window, except that my screen is not correctly processing where one row ends and the next begins, so the window comes out looking like some cursed evolution of MissingNo. I would be happy to provide an image if you would like.

Strangely, the buttons seem to work fine despite being visually impossible to parse. Or at least the X to close the window does. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple times, but to no avail. It doesn't seem to affect anything else, including the normal Discord app from which I type this. Any suggestions on how to make this work again would be most appreciated. Thank you!

the only vendors that flag vencord are noname AVs. on VirusTotal always look at the big names (avast/avg, microsoft defender, malwarebytes…), if they don’t flag and only nonames do then it’s probably a false positive

also if you don’t trust us just compile the code yourself
