i am actually having this problem now too. when I first tried it (in gaming mode) it worked, but now every time I try to stream I just get a black screen. have tried disabling plugins thinking maybe something changed but I can't figure it out. I did find one idea but I haven't tried it yet. On reddit found someone's two year old code (verified still working one year ago in comments) to install desktop mode as a non-steam game to run inside of gaming mode. Curious if this might solve the problem. I am pretty much never on m+k on desktop mode even so streaming there just doesn't work for me without the overlay buttons to "alt tab". I have also tried streaming with vencord as a non-steam game inside big picture mode in desktop mode but it seems to get confused when launching vencord and sends you back to the desktop and once I launch a game I can't get back into it.
Curious what you think of the desktop mode inside gaming mode idea and lmk if you'd like me to drop the reddit link I found

So, what i wanna inform the devs is that youtube video fails to play in the inbuilt Vencord browser, other than that it's actually pretty fire. 🔥 (feedback, not wining to add or fix the feature. Just informing y'all as it's an experimental feature, so atleast u are aware on the issues)
Also it would be great if u could access right mouse click options in-browser & a go back option(since if u click on a link on a google search, it's impossible to back other than closing the broswer and reopening the one page back in broswer)

I recommend you not to use OperaGX, it's probably best to get a VPN, something like Mullvad is pretty good (about 5 euros/month - flat rate).
That way you can route your discord through a vpn. ProtonVPN has a free tier you could try.
Alternatively, use a proxy and route discord through it.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

If by a servercall you mean a voice channel, it's only possible on your own server. You can add a moderation bot that logs the VC activity into a channel then enable "all" notifications for that channel and everytime something happens on voice channels you'll get a notification on the desktop if you don't have discord focused. If that is what you mean...

Vencord does not work with the Development Client now, it worked previously perfectly fine! When I start it it says "Update failed" and after that it gets stuck at "Checking for updates"

heya, I've recently been having issues screensharing on linux - I'm on KDE plasma under endeavourOS and screensharing works tempermentally but almost always results in the stream eventually turning green or black. I want to make a theme or plugin that makes the chat in VC's fullscreen similar to a normal text channel with the members hidden.

I have a theme that sets the video and slider to display: none and stretches the chat to the pixel. However, this obviously doesn't work with any other monitor and isn't as fluid as I'd like. What I'm wanting to ask is:

• How would I add a checkbox to the VC option in the first picture to enable/disable my CSS code?

• How would I make it universal without having people manually set their width value?

Hello, I have a slight problem with screensharing on Vesktop. When I stream stuff, some of my friends cannot see anything, and to them my stream is a completely black screen. The preview for me is perfectly fine. What's really bizarre is that when I watch my own stream on my phone from another account, using the official Discord client, it works perfectly fine.

It might be an OS problem as those friends use iOS whereas I use Android. Is this a known issue? This is something that's been bugging me for a while now because it's very strange. Thanks in advance
