When launching vesktop I get nothing but blank screen, relaunching doesn't help. neither does "Repair" button. These are the issues i get when launching dev tools with ctrl+shift+i and when launching from console.

I'm running arch with hyprland, using "vesktop-bin" package from AUR. However, this issue persists in official appimage, and other aur packages (same with vencord, without vesktop).

I've already looked on github, closest I could find was https://github.com/Vencord/Vesktop/issues/969 but neither restarting nor hiding tray icons helps.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Any way to downgrade vencord in vesktop flatpak?
I've just restarted, causing the latest update to apply, and now vesktop starts to get really laggy after a short while of moving the cursor, getting worse very quickly. Max lags of 1s, usually 0.2s or so. Gets better after stopping the movement. Also happens when only moving over a single message so it never leaves the hover state.
I don't use any custom CSS, just plain vesktop (and I just reinstalled the flatpak, though it didn't clear settings)

likely not a vencord issue but i would try clean installing your discord (if that doesn't work contact discord support at https://dis.gd/support):

1. close discord from your system tray by clicking on the up arrow in your taskbar & right clicking the discord logo and clicking quit discord. close any browser discord tabs too, and then check your task manager and make sure all instances of discord are closed there as well.
2. win key & r at the same time & paste %AppData%/Discord & hit the return key
3. delete the discord folder
4. win key & r at the same time & paste %LocalAppData%/Discord & hit the return key
5. delete the discord folder
6. empty recycling bin & restart pc
7. redownload discord
8. install vencord again to this new discord install

Discord on web/desktop is JS while on mobile it's React Native using the Hermes engine
Mobile uses bytecode, which can't exactly be patched the way it's done in Vencord

it's not a "problem", it just happens that discord uses webp by default to display images but doesn't accept them for changing your pfp
