oh so it was just an issue with the first discordsetup.exe that you downloaded

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

This is super random but is there any reason that Vencord seems to be causing stutters on my PC? I didnt think it was Vencord but on my old PC i downloaded Vencord and noticed that i had more stutters (even after deleting Vencord). I figured it was just because that PC was getting older, but i redownloaded Vencord on my new PC and it caused stutters yet again so i deleted it but the stutters that seem to have started when i downloaded it are still there? on vesktop a couple of the activity settings are missing (registered games and game overlay), and streaming is pretty bugged for me, with

• the quick stream element for an open game being gone,
• capture devices being unavailable along with the lack of tabs for window/screen options (which iirc doesn't allow you to stream one specific monitor screen instead of your entire screen, but i only have 1 atm so can't double check that),
• what looks like an old quality settings interface,
• and most notably streaming anything adds discord sounds to the stream as well so if people are talking and watching your stream they can hear themselves which basically makes it unusable
  i don't have any of these streaming issues on regular discord client, both with the same up-to-date version of vencord installed

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
