Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Heyo. Not sure if this can be considered a bug, but it's still something. I was trying to link someone a link and ClearURLs mangled it.

Specifically, the first link on this page - https://danielmangum.com/posts/this-website-is-hosted-on-bluesky/ - as the cid query param in the URL is required as per how the xrpc endpoint works, but clearlinks eats it, it breaks the URL when pasted.
Some way to bypass it on a per-message basis would be good, rather than having to fully disable the plugin.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

The issue: The plugin causes certain people to appear as friends, even if you haven't friended them. Those people keep appearing as friends even after disabling the plugin, so presumably the plugin did not get disabled properly

For anyone else that may have been having this issue, I found through testing that it would be fixed when using the Discord titlebar that disabled Wayland Window Decorations.

Originally, this issue was closed with the reason given that it wasn't a Vesktop / Vencord issue, but I just tested back and forth for a while today and found that the issue didn't happen under X11 or with Wayland decorations disabled, both from TAR and Flatpak. Upon building the newest master from source, the issue is completely gone now.

TL;DR I'm not entirely sure what all was changed since 1.5.3 so far, but this issue will be fixed in the next release despite "allegedly" not being a Vesktop / Vencord issue lol

i'm trying to use Vesktop on a very small 1080p monitor i'm used to, but the ways to zoom in doesn't work or doesn't exist. Ctrl+Scroll doesn't do anything, and the option on Appearance doesn't show up.

After installing node, git, and pnpm, I ran the code "pnpm install --frozen-lockfile" and it came back with "No package.json found in C:\Windows\system32"

Can someone help me with this? I haven't found anything relating to it in Know Issues forum.

Hello, first time posting here so I apologize if this is the wrong place but I'd like to ask a question about the NoBlockedMessages plugin.

I switched over from BetterDiscord, mostly because I found that this has a plugin that kills ads from youtube links posted on Discord, and I noticed the differences between the two plugins that remove the blocked message popup. I'm new to Vencord so I don't know if there's ways to tweak it around, but BetterDiscord's version didn't have any sign of people you blocked show up and I'd like to know if the NoBlockedMessages plugin from here is capable of that.
