1. close discord from your system tray by clicking on the up arrow in your taskbar & right clicking the discord logo and clicking quit discord. close any browser discord tabs too, and then check your task manager and make sure all instances of discord are closed there as well.
2. win key & r at the same time & paste %AppData%/Discord & hit the return key
3. delete the discord folder
4. win key & r at the same time & paste %LocalAppData%/Discord & hit the return key
5. delete the discord folder
6. empty recycling bin & restart pc
7. redownload discord
8. install vencord again to this new discord install

Your Discord seems to have installed in the wrong place. This could be due to a variety of issues.

To fix it, click the "Take me there!" button and follow the instructions in the dialog.

3. If the folder is named after your username, delete it
4. Reinstall Discord

Hello! I just joined this server cuz I've been searching all over the internet as well as on multiple discord servers about my issue with discord/vesktop.
I use linux, distro is arch. Initially i downloaded discord and all work fine except for the screenshare / streaming, it simply did not work or it would stream my cam for whatever reason (idk perhaps i caught the fbi agent)
So i downloaded vesktop instead and miracle! The screenshare / streaming works great! But then the audio doesn't work, output, input, bluetooth or cable, no sound at all, zero. Been trying really hard to figure out the issue with other people as well and we are all very lost, got sent to this server instead

id reccomend going over audio settings in app for the 99th time. Making sure anything isnt blocking it on the system level. Use a monitor to see if the app is even producing "audio", if it is and you can't hear it its not vesktop, if it isn't, more likely to be vesktop but could also be a sound setting limiting the apps audio

You have multiple discord versions, try a clean reinstall of discord using the guide below (its completely different to a normal reinstall)

Why is my Discord laggy?

The most common cause of lag is poorly written CSS.

To see if this is the case for you, try temporarily disabling all themes and your QuickCSS.

If that indeed fixes the lagging, you'll have to figure out which theme / part of your QuickCSS is causing the lag.Just slowly remove parts of it until it doesn't lag anymore.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Hi hi, new to vencord, I saw the css-snippet to change my font and wanted to try with the default Roboto example, enabled custom CSS and pasted it in, reloaded discord a few times as well. Wanted to change the font for everything so I deleted the line it said to delete, but nothing seemed to change. Did I miss some step perhaps?

1. closing discord from your system tray by clicking on the up arrow in your taskbar & right clicking the discord logo and clicking quit discord. then check your task manager and make sure all instances of discord are closed there as well.
2. installing vencord
3. opening discord
