Hi guys! I've got an issue with vesktop.
I am running the linux flatpak with wayland (sway/wlroots).
My system is dual-gpu (an intel iGPU and an AMD eGPU).
Everything else uses the AMD GPU as it is the default one and in order to run stuff on the iGPU I usually need to explicitly set DRI_PRIME, but Vesktop always uses the iGPU for everything which I do not want.
I could not find anything in the github issues or in general using google similar to my problem.

Why is my Discord laggy?

The most common cause of lag is poorly written CSS.

To see if this is the case for you, try temporarily disabling all themes and your QuickCSS.

If that indeed fixes the lagging, you'll have to figure out which theme / part of your QuickCSS is causing the lag.Just slowly remove parts of it until it doesn't lag anymore.

For some reason whenever Fortnite is open specifically and I'm using the official discord client with Vencord installed, I cannot be in a VC as it'll start RTC Connecting out of nowhere. I'm not sure what would be causing this, as using Vesktop instead works just fine.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Guh. My screensharing is a bit all over the place, but the main thing I've found is poor framerates becoming a massive issue.
I typically do "prefer clarity" because "prefer smoothness" lowers the resolution to a hilariously awful state which makes it unwatchable... but clarity makes it run like shit fps wise.

oh i misread this my bad, youre saying your discord gets corrupted after installing vencord

try clean uninstlaling discord from your mac with appcleaner, go to privacy & security in your macOS settings, click full disk access, and toggle on appcleaner, or if you dont see it, click the plus button and select appcleaner.app. then click quit & reopen if prompted, if not, quit & reopen appcleaner. then drag discord.app into appcleaner's window and click remove. you may need to enter your password. then empty the trash, and restart your mac. redownload discord, log in and try installing vencord again

Hi, I know this is known and not considered an "issue" cuz its kinda windows fault, but regarding the screensharing problem where all audio including others voices in the call are shared in the screenshare. I notice that if I change my desktop output to a different output from the discord output then it will stream without getting their voices in the steam, this would be a good solution but you would have to wear two pairs of headphones lol. I was wondering if there was a way someone knows to keep this setup but then have the desktop audio re route into the same ouput as discord this way it skips the stream but i combine both audios into one. idk if this is dumb or not lmk

1. close discord from your system tray by clicking on the up arrow in your taskbar & right clicking the discord logo and clicking quit discord. close any browser discord tabs too, and then check your task manager and make sure all instances of discord are closed there as well.
2. win key & r at the same time & paste %AppData%/Discord & hit the return key
3. delete the discord folder
4. win key & r at the same time & paste %LocalAppData%/Discord & hit the return key
5. delete the discord folder
6. empty recycling bin
7. restart pc
8. redownload discord

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
