i don't think vencord changes that, at least not by default. if you're hearing the higher pitched normal discord ping that's something discord themselves did

Your Discord seems to have installed in the wrong place. This could be due to a variety of issues.

To fix it, click the "Take me there!" button and follow the instructions in the dialog.

Alright, very specific bug and I'm mentioning it here so I can figure out if it's a vencord issue or what. My pc is dual booted with linux and windows. I switch to windows when I want to play games. If I'm in a discord call on windows, switch to linux and join the same call it'll disconnect me after a little bit (30 seconds or so) with the banner that says "You've connected from a different location" I'm not sure if this is a discord bug of vencord bug as it's just started happening recently. Just to clarifiy it also does the same thing when switching from linux to windows

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Despite me already fixing all issues, mozilla is still giving me more
trouble. Now they are asking me to provide them with testing credentials
for discord. Not only do i not want to give them my account, it also
isn't even possible because of how discord's login from new location
verification works

i am very tired of having to fight mozilla and their stupid guidelines /
requests. publishing to amo is a nightmare. as such, official support
for the extension is hereby dropped

we cannot even distribute the extension ourselves because extensions
NEED TO BE SIGNED to install them (unless you use firefox nightly).
and guess how you sign? VIA THEIR STUPID STORE

• use the UserScript

I have this ongoing issue where streams are always super quiet compared to people, and streams are so low where I need to boost them to 1000% sometimes. I have resorted to routing Discord audio through Voicemeeter and boosting it by 12dB. People are audible at 100%, streams, require 1000%.

I am out of ideas as to why and how this could be happening.

I have, Discord's output volume is at 200%, my system volume for every Voicemeeter output is 100%, the output I route discord on is at +12dB, the volume of everything that's not specifically discord streams is fine, I've forced outputting through the +12dB output via the Windows audio mixer, for every single Discord process. Voicemeeter tells me Discord is properly being pushed out through that output, etc.
