@copper iris i tried worked at it a bit more and it actually seems the root of the issue seemed to be openasar. I was able to remove openasar and vencord now appears to be working as expected, but removing vencord and installing openasar through the vencord script causes the same issues to appear but without any mention of vencord in the logs

1. Make sure discord is fully closed in task manager (or tray)
2. Press "take me there"
3. If the folder is named after your username, delete it
4. Reinstall Discord
5. Try installing vencord again

i think so. the errors are consistently the same but none of the error messages seem to contain any information directly relating to openasar. the only thing i have to go off of is that:

• vencord + openasar = crash
• vencord = launches as expected
• openasar = crash

I've had troubles with this before but I was able to solve it, (I am on mac) now this issue came back and when I try to run the command in the terminal it says "Sorry, user (myuser) is not allowed to execute '/usr/sbin/chown -R (myuser):wheel /Applications/discord.app' as root on (name of my mac).local." Ok so I think it might only be an issue on computer only. I logged out and back in on mobile (I’m using that rn) and it didn’t ask me to verify my email. But for some reason whenever I try to join a server on mobile through Disboard, it takes me to the app store

Hello, I somehow managed to make my streaming framerate 60 fps on the vanilla client after using vencord but this only works in certain channels/guilds and the quality can't be higher than 720p. Has someone done this and is there a consistent way to change the stream's properties like that? This carried over like recent emojis so if I re-installed the client the bug would still be active.

Why do I want nitro streaming quality on the vanilla client? Lags. The mod makes the client consume too much more resources.

6. Run by hitting Enter and the installer should open. If it says file not found, you made a mistake

ok i figured it out, super easy way. I got the appimage instead and used gear lever then went into the app image folder and it had a folder for the icon. downloaded the discord logo and replaced the vesktop.png with discord and renamed it.

flatpak was a pain in the ass and it overwrote itself with each update, hopefully this doesn't overwrite itself with updates
