The vencord volume booster plugin is bugged, if you enter a stream while the plugin is enabled, the volume is automatically set to 0 even though graphically it is not, when you use the slider to change volume it works. but when you leave and re enter the stream, the bug reoccurs even though the previous volume settings is preserved graphically

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Hi! I was testing hardware acceleration on my Arch Linux machine and I noticed something strange. When using the vesktop-git package - which builds with its bundled electron - I couldn't activate hardware acceleration with Wayland using the following parameters:

--enable-features=Vulkan,VulkanFromANGLE,DefaultANGLEVulkan,VaapiIgnoreDriverChecks --ozone-platform-hint=auto

But when I installed thevesktop-electron-git package, that uses the system electron, it worked!

Does anyone know what could have caused it? I checked and both the bundled electron and the system electron are on the same version (32.1.2).

as long as its installed and you didn't accidentally disable it it should work (provided you either started a new discord tab or refreshed an existing one)

1. Make sure discord is fully closed in task manager (or tray)
2. Press "take me there"
3. If the folder is named after your username, delete it
4. Reinstall Discord
5. Try installing vencord again

I came here to figure out why my mouse cursor was different from my normal one when in vesktop, but I found the answer. On Linux systems, if you use the flatpack, install flatseal. Open it, click "vesktop" on the left sidebar, and under "other files", give it permission to see your ~/.icons dir or the /usr/share/icons dir, read only

what you mean with not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), and So you should generally be fine as long as you don’t use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!
