is discord down for maintenance or something? messages are taking eons to load, and right clicking a channel isn't showing any options. even the boot time has noticeably increased (sometimes it doesn't even load).

I've tried reinstalling the app, deleting the app data, the local dump, everything on my part. but nothing seems to be working. I've also checked with the discord status; though it says everything is operational I doubt that's the case. (sending this via discord web)

not really, because yesterday my friend ran into something very similar. his discord wasn't booting up. it was all blacked out. we cleared his app data, and that mostly got things working for him. today, my discord is acting the same way, and I tried the same fix, but it's not working for me. it's definitely not the internet issue, that's checked off. some random server side issue, I assume. will probably wait for a fix, no heat

thats like a vm right? if so, idk much about vms but id recommend unpatching vencord from dc, uninstaling discord with appcleaner https://freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/ (click version 3.6.8 in the downloads section, bottom right), open it and give it full disk access in priv & security tab of ur system settings, quit & relaunch it to apply the changes, and then drag discord from your apps folder into its window and click remove. then empty your trash, restart the system, and redownload discord and the latest vencordinstaller, then try repatching and see if it still happens

about why using string adds a space at start and end, it is so you can replace exact whole word with " word " without it doesnt work at start or the end of sentence

does anyone perhaps know why vencord on linux has extremely low bitrate when streaming?

like, it's not even trying, it's using GPU to encode, but enc-wise, the gpu sits at around 10%

it's not constrained by upload speeds either - it's using less than a megabit of bandwidth - the servers are the closest with 12ms latency - so it can't be a network issue either

even streaming at 720p30 still makes the bitrate fall greatly in some places

this obviously doesn't happen on windows, so I was wondering whether anyone knows there's literally anything one could try hacking around to make it work properly?

1. close discord from your system tray by clicking on the up arrow in your taskbar & right clicking the discord logo and clicking quit discord. close any browser discord tabs too, and then check your task manager and make sure all instances of discord are closed there as well.
2. win key & r at the same time & paste %AppData%/Discord & hit the return key
3. delete the discord folder
4. win key & r at the same time & paste %LocalAppData%/Discord & hit the return key
5. delete the discord folder
6. empty recycling bin
7. restart pc
8. redownload discord

hi uh i got a little problem with the dev tools, i just cant get them to show up with ctrl+shift+i. got the dev tools enabled in discords settings, got the react tools enabled in vencord, got the nodevtoolswarning plugin enabled and i have the "dangerous_enable_devtools" thing enabled in %appdata%/discord/settings.json
any idea whats making them not work? checked the issue tracker and i looked around in the server for the mentions of dev tools and i couldnt find anything

the new plugin updates are great, esp FullSearchContext and the RoleColorEverywhere update ive been waiting forever for! The only thing FullSearchContext is missing is being able to copy userid from search, as its missing with the plugin installed. Sorry if this is not the right place to put this as the plugin requests repo is closed for now and there doesnt seem to be a place to discuss the plugins

Vesktop Flatpak fails to display on Wayland, not even a window. Worked before I updated to most recent, too, and it works on X11. AUR package is also working but I have no clue how to tell if it's using Wayland or X11.

if the ctrl + shift + i keybind doesn't work, it's likely because a different program conflicts with the keybind. This is most commonly the AMD Radeon Software. If you have that, disable keybinds in it (see the video below)
