its a discord issue that happens sometimes for windows users where discord installs to the wrong place on your pc. follow these steps to fix it:

1. Make sure discord is fully closed in task manager (or tray)
2. Press "take me there"
3. If the folder is named after your username, delete it
4. Reinstall Discord
5. Try installing vencord again

Note that the /usr/bin/vesktop-electron script tries to exec /usr/lib/vesktop/vesktop which does not exist

SO, to summarize, it looks like much of what I reported is irrelevant. The file perms are not a problem, and the issue I was having was mainly due to not realizing that the asar file should be run as an arg to electron. Here are the actual issues, I believe:

1. The script execs the asar file itself rather than electron

2. The non-git variant does produce the same file/folder name as the git variant

3. The non-git varient's script doesn't attempt to run the asar file or electron at all

Your Discord seems to have installed in the wrong place. This could be due to a variety of issues.

To fix it, click the "Take me there!" button and follow the instructions in the dialog.

1. Make sure discord is fully closed in task manager (or tray)
2. Press "take me there"
3. If the folder is named after your username, delete it
4. Reinstall Discord
5. Try installing vencord again

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
