hey, been using vencord for a while. some time ago, maybe a few weeks. my screen shares started to do a weird jittering and flickering that makes it hard to watch. i figured an update would fix it eventually but its been a while now. i used to use the aur install but as my friend pointed out there is a way to install for arch now on the vencord website so i did reinstall it from there, ill attach some system info that may be useful as to my situation. thanks in advance for taking a look. i did make sure there werent anything of this in the faq and common issues etc

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

My themes broke and now I can't open settings or disable them

open the dev tools with CTRL + Shift + i (Cmd + Option + i on MacOs) and click on the "console" tab at the top. Then paste and run (with enter) the following code.

• disable custom css (you can turn it back on in Vencord Settings)
• copy your current theme links to your clipboard as a backup
• remove all themes

hey, been using vencord for a while. some time ago, maybe a few weeks. my screen shares started to do a weird jittering and flickering that makes it hard to watch. i figured an update would fix it eventually but its been a while now. i used to use the aur install but as my friend pointed out there is a way to install for arch now on the vencord website so i did reinstall it from there, ill attach some system info that may be useful as to my situation. thanks in advance for taking a look. i did make sure there werent anything of this in the faq and common issues etc

Try opening Discord on your browser. See if it persists. If you have a bit of technical knowledge you can check the network tab in the devtools and see if the images are giving any errors.

hey, so i setup the vm. by default its on x11, i set it up on manjaro because its easier. but im trying to install vencord on there. not working, i put that bash command in and run it and follow the stuff, i used flatpak to install discord as a prerequisite. it finished and says its done but it wont show up as an installed program to run, i installed the aur vesktop and that works, i did it as a makepkg, any idea why its not just installing normally?

ok i may have found a working solution, looks like there is a flatpak version of vencord. i ran that on my host machine, got it on a alt to test and i think its fixed the issue. ill have to see as it may just be temporary etc since it can be an intermittent issue but so far good 😄
