Your Discord seems to have installed in the wrong place. This could be due to a variety of issues.

To fix it, click the "Take me there!" button and follow the instructions in the dialog.

1. Make sure discord is fully closed in task manager (or tray)
2. Press "take me there"
3. If the folder is named after your username, delete it
4. Reinstall Discord
5. Try installing vencord again

i used fakenitro and then uploaded a project .zip file which worked. then i did another project thats zipped which is below the 500mb but larger than 25mb, i get the 'must get nitro' message. im on mac m chip. ventura. i can stream in high quality like nitro but the file uploads dont work. tried disable and re enable. no luck.

File size upload is server side on discord there is nothing we can do about it. The only thing you can do is upload it to an external site then just share that link.

How do i install user plugins on vesktop, because in vencord it was in .\Vencord\src\userplugins but it doesnt work for vesktop so i wanted to ask if anybody here knew how it worked

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

I updated vencord today and for some reason my emotes aren't showing properly. What I mean is that when you type out the name of the emoji, the emoji matching should automatically find a server with the correct emote name. Hi, sorry if this isn't the correct place to ask, I was looking for a place to request the mod "split larger messages to be added", and saw its already been requested and declined for the reason "This would technically be API spam/selfbotting and thus is not allowed", I was wondering if this was accurate and if so how this would be a major rule break

Hi, very noob question. I just downloaded Vesktop and I'm trying to figure out how to give permissions to use my microphone. using the official app, I never got asked to grant access to my microphones and it works perfect. I'm using linux, no plugins yet, and primarly using firefox. Thanks!

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I was rebooting my device and making sure it wasn't anything user error. Turns out it was. I updated my Vesktop version, rebooted my device, updated my scarlett solo drivers, and everything is smooth now. I apologize for bothering, but I appreciate the quick response!

on the newest version of vencord (vesktop), i'm unable to select any audio device when screensharing. uninstalling and reinstalling, switching discord branches and disabling all plugins all seem to not change anything. is anyone else experiencing this?

About 12 hours ago I was able to stream with no issues when it came to selecting an audio input. Even the option for entire desktop audio is gone. I'll record a video in obs to show what i mean

For whatever reason the Message Logger plugin isn't working. I checked the known problems so I assume this is just me.
Ive tried reinstalling vencord and re-enabling the plugin. I cant think of much else to do besides that.
