the instructions explicitly state not to run a root terminal, however since the Arch Linux discord package installs the discord client as root, I'm unable to inject in a regular user terminal.

Should I ignore the warning and use a root terminal anyway, or should I resolve this another way?

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

yo, im getting this issue with vesktop where every minute or so i get rtc disconnected from a voice chat for about 10 seconds? this only happens on vesktop, i've tried it on other discord clients and i'm not getting the issue. i've tried restarting my pc, reinstalling vesktop, restarting my router but i still get this issue. any ideas?

4. ctrl+a and delete (aka, delete everything in the folder)

7. Now open discord

• If it works, cool, install vencord
