I don't know what the issue was but installing manual didn't work so I had to fully delete discord (in appdata local and roaming) then I reinstalled it and did it through the manual and everything worked. Thank y'all again :)

Hey I'm currently having an issue with vesktop on Arch Linux (specifically vesktop-bin on the AUR which is v1.5.2-3 atm) - links aren't copying when I right click on either images or URLs and click "copy link".
"Open link" works though, and I just have to copy that from my browser which I don't mind, but it's annoying

I used the devbuild quite a bit myself when I was on my main PC, and the Chrome extension wasn't working for me either on this chromebook until I started using it as an unpacked extension with the devbuild. This is the only fix I currently know for the problem they're experiencing. I understand now that this solution might not be obvious, and I should have been more mindful that not everyone is aware of how to manually update the extension everytime they need a update. I apologize for any problems I have may have caused.

I've been using Vencord for a while and only recently have run into this issue. I can verify the cause is likely Vencord itself because this issue doesn't happen when Vencord is uninstalled. When alt tabbing to switch between applications (with no themes or plugins active, JUST Vencord), Discord duplicates itself. With every other alt tab, 1 extra Discord pops up. I've gotten up to 20 so far. The only way to fix it is to restart file explorer in the task manager. The issue then continues. SS of said issue is attached.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
