Seems like Discord is still running in the background. Make sure you close it fully. It will most likely be in your tray, but if not you can use your Task Manager to force close it. After that, you should be able to install Vencord properly.

Hello, My girlfriend uses her steam deck to game and she uses the vesktop app to stream from her steam deck with audio and it all works great except for fromsoft games like dark souls remastered and elden ring. It just shows a white screen when she tries and the only way she can stream them to me is through using steam link on her laptop to stream from her steam deck, it usese up a lot of bandwidth on her network though so it's not always an option. I believe the white screen may have something to do with anti cheat in those games.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to circumvent this?

Hey yall, I have the Cloud features enabled, and I was playing around with some of my plugins and settings in general. I was able to sync my settings to another devivce but then I wanted to see what would happen if i tried to delete the Cloud settings from my new device and I got "API retrurned 401". Now anything i do with the cloud setting gives me that message to. I have attempted reinstalling Vencord on the new device, completing deleting all the files stored in the Vencord folder. In addition, this does break some plugins such as PinDMs who's new version now relies on fetching settings via API and not the local settings json
However, I am still able to use all the cloud features without issue on the original device I set it all up on. Deleting all data from the API did not solve the problem either. I have yet to attempt this on a third device but any ideas what might have happened would be appreciated

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
