My Vesktop is having some horrible issues with lag - After reading the FAQ, it implied that my lag was caused by either my quickCSS or themes, none of which I'm using, so they cannot be my culprit.
The issues manifest themselves as stutters and these phenomenons where, when switching to a different screen state, it visually lags behind and remains that way until a new frame is presented.
This error only occurs on Wayland, whilst on X11 it seems to work fine. Keep also in mind that I am using an NVidia GPU, which might be the source of the problem, although I'm not sure of that.

You actually do have a broken/scuffed Discord Install. For some reason, sometimes Discord installs to a weird location and it breaks Vencord

If reinstalling Discord doesn't fix it:

• Press Windows Button + R
• type %PROGRAMDATA% and press enter
• find the folder named after your username and open it
• Delete any folders called Squirrel/Discord. If the folder is now empty (likely), also delete the folder (the one named after your username)
• Try opening Discord. If it doesn't start, reinstall Discord
• Now it should be fixed, confirm Discord runs and the error doesn't happen anymore

I am new to Vencord/Vesktop and Linux. I am trying to understand how to screenshare audio and voice chat. As it stands I can either set vencord-screen-share as my default mic, sharing stream audio through my mic or I can set it to my default mic device and only stream my microphone. I have to imagine I am just not understanding how the program works. I disabled Easy Effects to avoid any issues, so the only inputs I have are either the vencord mic or the headset mic. Discord is set to use my "default" audio device.
This may be related, but I see a lot of users mentioning screensharing working specifically on Wayland. I am on Mint using X11 and Pipewire. Is this a feature only for wayland?

if the ctrl + shift + i keybind doesn't work, it's likely because a different program conflicts with the keybind. This is most commonly the AMD Radeon Software. If you have that, disable keybinds in it (see the video below)

Hey I think Im having a minor yet annoying issue with Vencord. The app is super inconsistent in when it decides to open. Some days I turn on my laptop and try to open Discord but the app just won't open, no matter what method of pressing open I try. The only way Ive found to fix this is to open the VencordInstaller and hit install again, which seemingly fixes the issue and allows the app to open normally. This works even when there isn't an update, so there shouldn't be anything waiting to install which is preventing the app from running. I even have auto update enabled in the settings, so the issue isn't related to updates at all it seems. Kinda at a loss here.

4. ctrl+a and delete (aka, delete everything in the folder)

My Vesktop is having some horrible issues with lag - After reading the FAQ, it implied that my lag was caused by either my quickCSS or themes, none of which I'm using, so they cannot be my culprit.
The issues manifest themselves as stutters and these phenomenons where, when switching to a different screen state, it visually lags behind and remains that way until a new frame is presented.
This error only occurs on Wayland, whilst on X11 it seems to work fine. Keep also in mind that I am using an NVidia GPU, which might be the source of the problem, although I'm not sure of that.

2 Engines on VirusTotal detect the Vencord Installer as malware, is this a Virus?

These are false positives and you can safely disregard them. I don't know what exactly those engines suddenly have against us but the exact same file they now flag was not flagged by them just a few days ago, so it's very obvious this is just bullshit detection (a lot of engines on VirusTotal are absolute garbage so you can usually ignore the no name ones, even the Firefox installer is apparently malware (thanks MaxSecure))

The source code is easily verifiable on GitHub, and in case you still don't trust it you can easily build the installer from source yourself with the instructions in the README on GitHub
