Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

I reinstalled Discord and it got rid of the problem. I kept it like this for a day and saw absolutely no disconnect issues... But the moment I install Vencord (with FakeNitro), the disconnect and reconnect issue returns.

Hello, it has been a few days since rolecoloreverywhere stopped working for me in voice chanels,(cant fcking look at the colorless names anymore, got used to it being colorful), even though a patch was released when it stopped working at first, that patch did not fix the issue for me. i think you mean the normal client and vesktop, and vesktop comes with vencord

either way;
vesktop has vencord preinstalled (and wont dissapear when discord updates)
vesktop is more lightweight and faster than the official Discord app
vesktop has Linux Screenshare with sound & wayland
vesktop has much better privacy, since Discord has no access to your system

but;
vesktop does not support global keybinds (this includes push to talk when the app is unfocused)
vesktop doesnt support the discord overlay
vesktop doesnt support adding new activities like the normal client (yet)
vesktop also doesnt support a few specific plugins
(unsure about this one) Vesktop is a bit funky on windows if you plan to stream (could be fixed in the latest update, im not sure)

Fake Nitro Emotes seem to be broken again. I know this was fixed 30/04, but it seems to be broken again. my girlfriend is also having issues with it. However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

So I noticed it happened when there's a buildup of messages in servers while I was tabbed out and when I tabbed back in, the "GatewaySocket" takes a long time to log to the console and when it does it's like "1231 messages took 10433ms"

When I have the client active, the "GatewaySocket" regularly updates every few seconds as normal.

(Also one thing to note these were bleeding through, even tho "GatewaySocket" logs is turned off in developer options.)

However while I was kind of debugging this to test things, suddenly these logs stopped popping up, and the freezing stopped too, so during my debugging adventures, discord might've hotfixed something unless I did something unknowingly.

So uh, Discord fixed my issue I guess unless I'm doing something to prevent those logs suddenly

my discord won't boot up due to an "abnormal-exit" from GPU
the crash logs say something about "CDM work timed out"
this only fixes if I delete the discord folder from my .config

Alright so, whenever my Windows 10 PC goes to sleep or hibernation while Vesktop is open, as soon as it's turned back on, the account I was signed in using Vesktop gets logged off

Why do I get logged out after opening DevTools?

Discord tries to protect you from getting scammed by "hiding" your token when you open DevTools, which means it deletes it from storage and only keeps it in memory in order to make it harder to obtain.

If you now close discord before closing DevTools again, your token will not be saved anywhere anymore and as a consequence you will be logged out

Solution: Close DevTools before closing discord or better yet enable the NoDevtoolsWarning plugin which removes this "feature"

yea, a pop up window that appears after we install the vesktop. but in my case, sometimes when my laptop restart or shut down, that prompt appears again

and stuck on that window while the window only showing white screen. but i know it was the window for choosing how the vesktop installed on our pc (like the stable/canary/ptb, and other settings)
