If you ran the command it tells you and it still doesn't work, try running the Vencord Installer as administrator.

To do so, open a terminal and type sudo /path/to/VencordInstaller.app/Contents/MacOS/VencordInstaller, changing /path/to with the path where you saved the installer to.

Anyone know possibly why my Vencord is freezing after around 5 mins in call (literally not able to press anything bit like a not responding but without the white transluscent overlay and error popup), and then it just closes after around 3 minutes of this? I thought maybe the plugins I disabled all but 3 which I know my friend has and the error still occurs - Tried redownloading Discord and Vencord to no avail.

Hi, I already asked about this before.
When I try to screenshare I get the portal popup and when I select the screen or anything else it just crashes.
The selection works flawlessly on obs for example so it's not that.
This is the output I get in the terminal:

Okay... I've got a brand new issue after updating Vesktop. Whenever I try to screenshare, it freezes on the screen where it's looking for audio sources, with a message, "Finding Audio Sources" or something like that. The console says, "running venmic 3.3.2" at the same time, but nothing happens until I'm forced to force-quit Vesktop, at which point the console says "Killed".

This is on Linux, with Pipewire, by the way.

and i imagine changing that would require too much work on the plugin authors part, and may not even be possible

especially given the plugin doesnt seem to go through the api, so it wouldnt be able to read which user deleted a message

okay so basically, normally i would launch discord and have vencord "working" meaning in the settings area it has the vencord category with plugins theme etc, this however no longer is there and discord is working as if vencord was never installed. Though this happened to me before I could easily patch it using powershell but the command you are meant to paste is no longer on the download page in vencord, so i cant use powershell to fix it.

okay, you have no clue what you're talking about, please stop.

the error happens because vencord actually has multiple independent processes that communicate with each other. previously they passed settings as string, but this update i changed them to pass settings as objects. your error is happening because you did not fully restart, so the contexts are out of sync. the browser process is updated while the native process is still running the old code. so the browser process expects the new object format but the native process still sends the old string format

restarting fully will fix it. if it doesn't, your install became corrupted due to Internet/disk issue or similar, reinstall to fix
