This message is misleading. Run sudo chown -R "${USER}:wheel" /Applications/Discord.app in your terminal, then run the installer again afterwards.

This message is misleading. Run sudo chown -R "${USER}:wheel" /Applications/Discord.app in your terminal, then run the installer again afterwards.

You may also need to grant Terminal.app (and friends) full disk access for the operation to work properly.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

hey macos issue (newest installer), not installing vencord, I get this error. I have given it full disk access and run the command that pops up.

Is there any plugin that displays current active sessions/connected clients to my account (Like betterdiscord's ShowSessions plugin, not the endpoint on devices tab in settings, the events websocket has a property called sessions)

Having this as well lately, I cannot fix it. But a buddy told me to completely remove it from the Permissions Tab in the Settings menu and try the command while Vencord and Discord are completely closed. This doesn't work for me on macOS 14.0 Sonoma though...

When joining voice channels, I get "RTC Connecting"

Cause is unknown, so there is no real fix.

However, a simple workaround that fixes it temporarily is to click the text that says RTC Connecting, then click Debug. Close the page that opens again and it should now be fixed!

Note that you need Discord Developer Mode (Discord Settings > Advanced > Developer Mode) enabled to do this!

followup on this. fixed this issue on mac. first, i updated my macbook's software. second, deleted all instances of vencord. third, removed vencord from the list of apps in "full disk access" . lastly, reinstalled vencord and readded it to the list.

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to screenshare my Capture Card through Vesktop. I can see it hasn't been implemented yet, but I was wondering if it was possible, or there were third-party-plugins or anything to get it working

I attempted to "screen share" my capture card by just turning on my camera, but the quality was low, so I was wondering if theres any possiblity to make this work

so pc crashed, i turned it back on and my discord client went to default. I tried reinstalling vencord and i get the "windows protected your pc" popup. i've never gotten this before, is this supposed to happen?

what it actually does is change the ownership of the discord app package to you

which sometimes doesnt happen when you install the app

not sure why 🤷‍♂️ someone with more mac knowledge would have to explain

This message is misleading. Run sudo chown -R "${USER}:wheel" /Applications/Discord.app in your terminal, then run the installer again afterwards.

You may also need to grant Terminal.app (and friends) full disk access for the operation to work properly.

got it working by manually adding vesktop in kde auto start settings guess the vesktop option is borked
